Drag n flys in apex running very strong...shared setup

if you want ...check the top end and report back....I think it would like a lttle shallower exit angle on the helix like a 41 or 40

I just got back from going on a little 100 mile ride and the backshift is awesome. It did not matter is I was going 35 and let off and hit it was there.Same thing if I was going 50 or 60 they just pull on the trail. We have about 2 to 3" inches of loose snow on the trail and some hardpack.I did some holeshots in the field and it goes to 10600 right off the bat.
The sled starts to move at 4500 rpms, which is lower than the my proline kit.So far this setup works real good for someone who just wants to put it in and go.You do not have to do anything to the secondary just leave it stock. But I do think it has some room for improvement but that is just me, I like to do clutch tuning on my sleds.
Hope this helps anyone who is thinking about these weights.

are you using the same spring that sj said he used at the beginning of this topic (white) engagement rpms seem a little high compared to his 4500 vs 3800.........I would be fine with 3800 or so but anything over 4000 is a bit much for my type of riding.

Yes Iam using the white primary spring. On the stand it engages like 4500 but on the trail it moves a little but at 4800 it moves a lot better. The kit has a smooth engagement. I have taken off slowly and it can just creep along.Have not noticed any belt slippage when taking off slowly.I have 2500 miles on the belt that Iam using right now.
This setup has great backshifting on the trail, like I said earlier if you want a kit that is just put in the primary only and drive it you can do that. But I think you can tweak the secondary to make it better.
That white primary spring is a pretty stout spring.Iam going too add a little weight and try on sunday.

I did not have the time too add any weight to my setup. But did do a bunch of hole shots in the daytime and it goes to 11050 out of the hole.
The hole shots I did before were at nite so I must not have been at full throttle sorry about that.
So going to add weight to the shoulder and try again.

sounds like youve been steadily gaining rpms which is indicative of belt slippage...

verify your secondary twist and clean your sheaves and make sure your belt is sitting ttt of the secondary....
