I can wax a boost just off idle, and do 120mph in first gear! Just saying...

Well if I had data logging i would post the logs.I can wax a boost just off idle, and do 120mph in first gear! Just saying...
All I can say is it easy to cruise over 100 mph at less than 1/4 throttle on Hurricane super spool header tuned sidewinder. It rocks big time!

I don't think it's exaggerating to claim a tuned winder can do 100 mph at 1/3 throttle.

I am not sure exactly how much throttle my SW needs to maintain 100mph on a rail bed but once I get up to @ 100mph it easily stays there at part throttle. I have never had a sled that so easily gets to, exceeds, or maintains 100mph gps like my SW.
Once 100mph is reached on any sled every mph above that takes an exponentially greater amount of horsepower. My sled easily runs 100mph but breaking 120mph on the gps is another barrier that few sleds will ever see...although many claim it.

Cruise down the trail 105 mph at less than 1/4 throttle on a tuner sidewinder.
Do it easily on mine.
Same or actually not even sure is even 1/4 throttle. I was thinking even less than that.
Evidently this confused dude doesn't have a tune in his or something. That or there is a real reason he's called himself confused.
Any turbo four-stroke sled should do this easily. I remember the first time I turboed a RX-1. I was cruising at 100 at just a small throttle opening, I'm guessing it was easily less than 1/4 throttle in about 3-4" fresh snow while my two-stroke buddies told me I HAD to slow down as they were wide open to keep up at that speed and couldn't maintain that without blowing them up down the rail bed.

Ride my sled...that will make you change your mind, in regards to your theory. Hahaha...Same or actually not even sure is even 1/4 throttle. I was thinking even less than that.

Is that not the sled we are talking about? They now COME stock with 9 tooth drivers, its only the XRS850 turbo that has that driver. No swapping needed...
For the record, I love my Yamacat and dont have one of those 850 turbos, I just hate seeing misinformation.

Yes, no tune in my SW but maybe someday
You have proven part of my point in that most on here enjoy comparing their tuned sled to another stock sled.

BRP really missed the mark. They should have named a sled with this new motor the "WhoopdeeDoo!"WhoopdeeeDoo.

Enjoy your stock sled. They're plenty fast. But, getting a tune is night & day. The Speedo digits flip past so fast, it's basically a blur. And obviously more work to maintain, as everything needs to be gone over twice vs stock. jmho....but the work is worth it.Yes, no tune in my SW but maybe someday

I would like to see a data log showing a maintained 100 mph at 30 percent throttle.anyone have one ?
At 30 percent your barely into clutch engagement I bet
Not saying it can’t be done but I have my doubts unless on glare ice.
