part number

Found a set with that part number but they say 5.35". So why wouldn't they work. There is replacement idlers that say replace the 5.63 and put in the 5.35s for better performance. Can't see how you would get better performance with smaller wheels as a idler?Studroes144 said:jakehayamaha said:The wheel kit must be #6639-184.. all the parts guys I talk to dont know anything. 2 sets of them should help
Yes that is the correct part number. Just be sure they are 5.63" wheels

It says better performance, but use ice scratchers if your in low snow conditions. its a smaller wheel. wont help you with hyfax wear. the bigger the wheel the better. with in reason. if its to big you will wipe out the bearings way to fast.

size matters
Thanks. So I should be looking for 5.63 vs 5.35. That makes sense. They have the right part number studroe posted but they say 5.35. Which one is it??????

5.63" for sure that's what I put on mine. Not sure how they are claiming performance out of a smaller wheel

I think the smaller wheel is for a different application. Not for the Viper LTX SE

Went for a little 50 mode earlier and didn't notice any sticking at all! I think I fixed my problem. Didn't do any high speed runs to see if it changed that, but I don't feel anything. So far so good!

Just a heads up for anyone who installs extra set of wheels directly in front of rear axle: Make sure the bolts are installed from the inside of the rail facing outward. The rear scissors looks like it will interfere with the bolt threads otherwise. I dont like the look of exposed threads and locknut on the outside, but looks like thats what works best. I just put two sets of AC 6639-184 on mine.

Nope, this is just what it was looking like for me. Stuck my head in there and looks like the head of the bolt just clears the scissors. Stuck bolt in the other way and threaded end looked really long and would definately hit so I put them in so threads are outside.

Yes that is true. Had mine all bolted up then looked in there and seen how long they were so I pushed down on suspension and they do hit
