I dont believe its the case but its possible Yamaha is doing a rolling update so not everyone does it at once preventing glitches from system overload. Dont see how thats possible but I am not a IT guy. Or maybe some are just unknowing testers. So far EVERY dealer who took the time to update thier YDST tool has had access to the new flash and is able to do it. At a loss for words as to the Cluster this hopefully great update for us has become. Sorry for those who cant get it. Now thier is snow and still no Bulletin to Dealers or letter to Owners. If this is how its going to be with Canadian Headquarters we in US just took a huge step backwards.

Seemed to idle better . Pops came out before we even got them off the trailer . Didn't notice any deference at start up but I wasn't paying much attention to it. I will try again in the next couple days I still have some minor preseason work to do.

Just updated the Cat diagnostic tool at work and it showed the update for the 7000 ECM
Also codes for O2 sensor are eliminated so no need for a bypass plug just unplug and remove sensor and plug the hole if wanted. Sensor will be ruined if run without being connected.

If this is the case and the 02 sensor is removed, could I then plug my Power Commander POD-300 into the hole so I can get AFR readings on the POD-300?
Yes. You will need a adapter for the O2 sensor your POD requires. Innovate sells a nice one. Here is the info from Tech Update Book. Great! So I guess 17 Viper already has the new flash?

@cannondale27 is this what I would need? http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/xcart/product.php?productid=16365&cat=250&page=1
No. This is what you need along with whatever O2 sensor the Pod requires.@cannondale27 is this what I would need? http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/xcart/product.php?productid=16365&cat=250&page=1

Yes 17 Viper has flash already. It does have info on Sidewinder shaft and bearing. The sidewinder shaft is thicker entire middle section but smaller dia to fit the new bearing. Is also updated chain tensioner. In Sidewinder and Viper. Not sure why. Will take pics of those next time I am there. So you would definitely need entire shaft to fit the new bearing. Not stated is whether it can be retrofitted like they did for the 16 setup. Only worry to me is the length where 15 wide gear fits. Is gear wider at shaft than current? Is not said. But everything might be needed for a conversion including gears chain, tensioner, shaft and bearing.Great! So I guess 17 Viper already has the new flash?
