Front shock adjustment?

Wondering which way to loosen retainer on front shocks and is it done with the weight taken off front end? I've always had fox air shocks so first time adjusting coil type shocks. Need to take some ski pressure off already have limiter at last hole thanks

I found the tools mickey mouse too adjust front shocks. My retainer nuts are so tight I bent the tool. Not an easy adjustment on trail use as I was attempting mine in a heated garage. New too these shocks but I prefer my kyb I had on my skidoo

Exactly the provided tools bend easily and I've only got 142 miles on. I would expect the retainers to break free easily and I'm in my garage which is heated. I've tried raising the front end and the tool just bends guess I'll leave them be for now but what a pain in the #*$&@. No way you could make trail side adjustments. One reason why I liked the Fox floats

Break them free with a dull flat screwdriver and hammer in the garage, then tighten with the tool so your able to reloosen when you want.

The top locker looking at the shock to loosen do I go counter clockwise? Should I have the front of the sled off the ground? Thanks

No need to lift the front of the sled, counter clock wise to loosen.do your centre skid spring lock rings also.

Thanks tried using a screwdriver and rubber mallet but guess I need to tap a little harder to bust it loose maybe use some wd40 would help too. Thanks again

Won't a screwdriver and hammer damage the paint on retainer??? The crap tools that come with sled peel the paint and round the soft metal retainer. Expensive shocks / cheaply made Imo

Don't be shy, use a real hammer and give it good a hit.
