How about a positive " I love my Sidewinder thread".

6500 klms on the hyfax , with scratchers only put on for last 200.
5000 klms. on the original belt , that might be beyond my Apex .
i feel sorry for the guys who waited and didn't pull the trigger on a 17 !
missed a whole year of wow !!!!
Spent most of the season north of Sudbury , on trails this sled was made for!

Well we almost made it through 3 pages without negativity.

Tough crowd. : )
Deleted the "but" section. My apologies gents.
I need to stop worrying about stuff that likely will never occur.

This is why I love my SW....POWER! And the ability to change power just by programming the ECU.

Where could it be any better, then to take a Yamaha Sidewinder, put in a tune, add excellent clutching and an exhaust that is DNR decibel legal and not only just trail ride on one of the best suspensions out there, but get almost 17 MPG with 260 horsepower to play with? I'm telling you, this sled rocks!!! And its not just performance trail riding.....its amazing off trail with the exact same setup!!! Catwalk/tail-flap anywhere with this sled! Deep powder....no problems!

And here is another awesome thing you can do with a Sidewinder in the spring, summer and fall months. My Sidewinder has all the stock suspension components lowered, a drive axle from a 2012 Cat 1100, asphalt track and asphalt skis...running 9's @ 131 MPH in the 1/4 mile and almost 6.0's at almost 114 MPH in the 1/8 with the same clutching I run in the winter.....THAT'S IT! Very consistent and a lot of fun :)

Oh yeah....check out that perfect reaction time ;)

I just spent 30 mins in the garage doing almost nothing other than wiping it down while talking dirty to it. Yes, I love this sled. We're going away to Bora Bora together, but just for a little while.
Art,i have to completely concure with you on this beast,i just love it,so much so,i rebuilt it from my crash, out of my owne pocket, since I had not at the time invested in insurance.

I love my Winder so much that I *gasp* passed on an offer for sex with my wife to ride instead.
That's right I said it, and it's the first time that has ever happened. And my wife is pretty friggin cute.
Here's the deal. One Saturday morning a couple months ago, I wake up early and head to the shop for a coffee and check the latest online news on my computer. Outside, it's about minus 5 and the trails were groomed. I decide to suit up and ride into Mitchell to the Tim Hortons for a bite. It's about 15 minutes by car, 12 by 800, 850, Apex, or 10 by Sidewinder.
I'm almost ready to leave when I get this text - 'why don't you come back to bed?'
Aaaaarrrrgggg!
Decisions!!!!
I reply "Gonna have to pass honey, sorry, maybe later"
That's love fella's.....or maybe just a speed addiction.

Some women understand us men, some women don’t!
My wife threatened to divorce me if I bought a new sled, she knew something was up when I sold my 04 RX1. Well, divorce or not I bought my winder regardless. Best purchase ever! And Im still happily married
Always remember gentlemen, it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission.!!

Dealer took in 2 Sidewinders for trade in towards new 2019s, during the spring surge. Husband and wife traded in their 2017 winders. 9-10K on both, one was on it’s second belt, other was still on original belt.

What he calls trade in is same he did for me. You keep your trade in until your new one comes in, because he is lacking space. Those side by side machines are all over that lot year round.

I was told they ride pretty normal, they had both seen 100 on dreameters.

Ha, my normal and their normal are very different for sure, but still, nice to hear that there are a few that are easy on belts, much like has been said on here by those who trail ride, and not trail race like most of us.

After some «tweaking» of my btx over the winter - I am in «love»: new 36» front end, 2.5» challenger extreme track, updated clutching to my personal preference, 2018 air intake, lathe 2.6mm of the hub on the secondary clutch and a moflow kit. Super cold clutches - not a singel blown belt.

Boost on - ride safe guys!!!!

Very good sled, enjoyed it for 2 seasons, last 6,200 miles on TD tune. I did have to address some chassis issues to run the miles I do but I've had to do this on all my sleds, just part of the game. Good looking, fast and very dependable engine. I would never even think of changing brands.

You put on some serious miles!
