LTX 137 lack of transfer..Reasoning/Solution?

Here.16+ 137 Cat,Sidewinder and Viper spring (2704-026,7)is not shown in this pic. Goes from lighter to heavier. Cat #'s 1704-576,7 are the 14+129" stock springs. Looks like the silver lightest one is not available anymore. Chart is current.

I know exactly what I'm going to do to my Winder as far as transfer goes. I'm going to ride the snot out of it! I just got my Quebec season passes for my Wife and I and we are going to take a few trips and ride our sleds just the way they are. Too many engineers thinking too much. I'm thinking this has to do with the fact that we don't have any snow yet. Lets hope for lots of snow and riding and less wrenching.

Not sure I should of read this thread....my head is spinning. I think the only transfer I need is getting my sled from Ohio to the UP, that's the best transfer there is. I'm with a couple other guys on this, I went with the 137 for a quality ride, my days of racing thru the tight twisty's are over but, I still want to rail on the high speed technical curves though. I put a set of Curve skis on with Bergstrom 6" triple points and the next step is to dial in the balance for lighter steering effort. Dial in the rebound to my liking and I'm good to go.

I see these are from a 2014 post. STOCK in pic = stock spring in a 129 Viper = Stock spring in a 129 Winder. All 3 are lighter than the stock Winder 137 springs. I guess I missed the answer, did any of these accomplish what you wanted?

Stock 137 Winder spring is not in list

This isn't just about transfer. I needed 40 pounds in back to get suspension just to WORK. I like the ski's on the ground, but a spinning track does nothing.......except spin. If the front gets light, not OFF the ground, it means you are grabbing & going FORWARD.
I had last year to ride & was very happy in the end, but i knew exactly where i needed help for the "ultimate" ride.
I went with softer rear springs & studs. I'm hoping to just get front end light & bottom out on at least on one freakin' bump somewhere...

No thats why I said stock 16 spring is not listed. 16-18 all 129,137 Cats,Sidewinders and Vipers use same spring. I didnt have one at time pic was taken so its missing from the pic.

Couldn't Hygear tell you whether or not it was softer? I know their website is vague on that. It might be because its similar to the lighter of the factory springs.

Its interesting to go back and read the thread from last year.

Nobody posted about moving the scissor mount forward but some moved the coupler limit shaft back in the skid - 1 so much he added material to the top of the tab to hit the blocks.

Lighter factory springs or modding (shaving down) the coupler blocks is probably the best answer.

I forgot to call Hygear & will try tomorrow. I rode last year with aftermarket 4-way block adjuster that i believe is lower also.
As far as moving scissor, this needs to be tested. In theory it works, but reality is always different & poses other issues.

NEWTON's LAW states: For every action there is equal & opposite reaction.

P.S: I don't know if this saying fits this post, but it makes me sound real smart. lol

No none accomplished what I wanted but the current spring in Winder and Vipers was the best. Easily. Its what I have been running since 16.

The 129 Winder has the 1704-576 577 springs
Maybe I spent too much time reading this yesterday but
You have to cross the AC parts to the Yamaha parts

I will bet thats a misprint. All Winders and Vipers along with the Cats have 2704-026,7 springs from 16+

Thanks for converting #'s

If not. There is a real good option for the 129" Winder guys!
Now you've confused me. Isn't the point of this thread suggestive of a lighter spring for the 137 gets to get more sit in lighter skis when wanted? Also it seems if you are 200+ the LTX is probably perfect you but if you are smaller a lighter spring should help. Weird the 137 spring is cheaper. But 2 129 springs would be less than the Hygear price.
