I like the 3" of additional seat foam combined with the extra 2" on the riser. That's something I might have to try.

Did anyone notice the ad to the left of the article was for MBRP and they make headers for the Apex. I guess I thought only excel made them and yamaha makes the SS version. Didn't know about mbrp.

I got the first set that mbrp sold. Yamaha had their y-pipes on backorder so i took a rode trip to mbrp factory, about 8 hrs one way, so i could ride over x-mas. This was last year 2008. They are high quality stainless but can't feel any increase in performance. They even gave me a t-shirt. whooppee

They should have stuck the foam on the bottom of the seat so that it retained the squared look on the top..
