- '23 Sidewinder LTX LE w/EPS
‘19 Sidewinder LTX SE
I had mine done this morning as well on my ‘14 LTX SE. Starts very quickly first try every time now. The idle is so much smoother as well and no more hunting of RPM’s. Have yet to take it out on the snow as it’s been raining here all day today. So far it seems like a winner.

Taking mine in today... Hoping this is it. Read the post above about one dealer pulling three motors to get replaced because of this, I know for a fact THAT it cost Yamaha more for that than doing the right thing and getting these ECMs calabrated correctly. Can only imagine all the "patty cake" that was played before making the better choice to get it better.

- Yamaha Viper XTX LE Mcx Turbo.
Yamaha Sidewinder XTX LE Maptune stage 3 fastspool.
well, just tried the new flash, on a standard Viper the startup is very quick, smooth idle., i feelt that the trottlerespons had more crisp response Way better!
On my turbosled the same thing at startup and idle, but my turbo ”mcx” starting to backfire when i let the trottle off., i think the new map is abit leaner. But i have to do more testing to be sure.

if the flash is leaner I wonder how it's going to affect the sled with the air box mod?

A little leaner might not be a bad thing, as my mpi turbo viper runs quite rich at 11mpg when cruising on trail.

Well I'm biting the bullet, going down to jc power sport's in crivitz wi to get the latest flash, if I do end up blowing the motor cause the flash is too lean, than it gives me an excuse to go and buy that sidewinder

Just picked mine up with latest flash... just as mentioned earlier it starts quicker and idles very nice now siting right at 1500 rpm I let the sled heat soak and fan run then restart with no effort. It does sound much happier. We will see....

Here's my take on the new flash, no more 2 attempts to start, starts every time on the first try, I've noticed a no start when I let go of the key too soon, idle on start up is still up between 1800-1900rpm but settles down quicker to 1500, 1480-1530 observed but it does take longer cranking to start, mine always started quick, I never had any hot start, backfiring, starter issues since new or with any other previous flash, no real seat time yet but pretty satisfied for now.

Darn so i mite get this new flash.... So now after maping each cylinder with my pcv i will have to go through the whole process again after i get this new update otherwise i also could blow up an engine. I noticed my maps ar the idle range cut fuel like crazy.

What dealer did your flash? I am the guy from Texas with a cabin in the UP. I asked the closest dealer this week while I am here and was told they were not scheduled to get it until 3rd week of Jan. Doesn’t make sense to me so might give another dealer a try when I return in Feb.Here's my take on the new flash, no more 2 attempts to start, starts every time on the first try, I've noticed a no start when I let go of the key too soon, idle on start up is still up between 1800-1900rpm but settles down quicker to 1500, 1480-1530 observed but it does take longer cranking to start, mine always started quick, I never had any hot start, backfiring, starter issues since new or with any other previous flash, no real seat time yet but pretty satisfied for now.

Wrong! It's available to all dealers NOW. If they know how to use a computer they have it, as long as they have the YSDT to perform the download to the ECU.What dealer did your flash? Same MPG here. Sometimes it will only get 10mpg.A little leaner might not be a bad thing, as my mpi turbo viper runs quite rich at 11mpg when cruising on trail.
