New Engine in 2016 Vipers and Other Changes

Almost same just a bit more. Would have to convert for actual numbers but they have old and new on there.

If I like what I see I would again. But only if a whole new sled like Viper was. The Warranty is what put me over the top. Was considering a 800RR at time but glad I didnt do that!

Any way the shaft and bearing fit all but mine has 6500mi and no issue with either so save your $ till needed.

Wow I would be sick if I was a person who got a "old 16" on a spring check!!

Is this just an issue for the spring built Viper or is the Vector also getting the old system

Yet you would get the same sled you spring checked right? Nothing less?

I guess but doesn't it show all have tuner 3? But fine print is fine print! 15 with bold new graphics... For 16 money... I wouldn't live with it! Not trying to argue just saying doesn't seem right... But what is these days with manufactures. In the end they just needed to get rid of obsolete parts and make room for the new stuff I'm sure!

I think they did that because AC Turbo there is still a rare few that blow belts they changed it on those sleds and it didnt make sense to have two different systems. Probably confuses the assemblers. So they made them all the same even though the Yamahas and 7000's dont blow belts, ruin shafts or go through that wobble bearing very often at all.

Just like the Viper didn't need the upgraded rods and crank, but this engine goes in side by side, watercraft, etc and why make two versions when one is cheaper?

I feel for you guys.....

When I purchased my last enclosed trailer, I went to the factory to pick it up and they couldn't find my trailer. It was supposed to be a left over 2006, brand new but a left over. Seems that this other guy who ordered a new 2007 trailer took mine instead by mistake. The company gave me his 2007 trailer and changed the documents on each of our trailers after talking to the guy. He wasn't going to bring back the trailer after just driving 270miles, but wasn't happy about paying 2007 price for a leftover 2006. The company gave him some money back and never charged me more for the 2007. Same exact trailer, same options, same color....just the year difference. I guarantee the guy would have been more furious if the trailer he got had less options or not updated to new stuff.

Ya. But to me a new jack shaft and bearing seems more like a problem being fixed. More then a luxury option.

I think everyone understands your disappointment at not getting the newest version of the Viper engine, but newer is not always better, and only time will tell. In the meantime, you have an awesome sled with a proven engine, and my guess is that you are going to love it the way that it is.
