Sorry but you are wrong. I do a lot of contracts and if I get what I contracted for I am happy. If somebody got a better deal by waiting it does not negate you got what you contracted for. Nobody got shorted on what they bought, unlike the shock fiasco of the previous year.

Legally they did the specs subject to change so you are correct. 100% but saying nobody got shorted is nothing more than your opinion. You may be right on that point but you may be wrong. The new engine may suck and it sure isnt what anyone signed the contract expecting. Doesnt matter. Like I said surprises to customers are not good. Communication.

And when everyone finds out the difference the new and old motor and my sled has the old motor and I am trading it in an the dealer would give me more for it if it had the new motor I will be pissed!

Hey Allan, I know this is at the top of the list to be addressed and there is a lot of work going on in the background. I have not had an update recently but am most confident there will be counter-measures made available for effected units and applied to 2016 production which is not due to commence for another few months. So is this new motor and gears the changes??? Also it says the 2016 would not start for another few months. This post was April so that would bring us to June for 2016 production to start. How are we getting 2016 models made in Feb???

The crank numbers are different because it comes with rods on it and in past years you had to get everything separate then assemble it , I haven't heard of any engine changes for 2016 , should be the same engine

This is a great example of the issue. Its not the changes themselves but the fact that it hasnt been communicated to people like 09nytro that are way more informed about Yamaha sleds than your average consumer.

Was at an Arctic Dealer today. Seen the 2016 XF Crosstour 7000. Build date May and it as the new engine.

I believe this may be based on the 2015 sleds and racing results but ALOT of the racers are buying 7000 XC's as a second sled to race on the Ice courses because they are proven to have a higher top speeds than the 6000 XC's.

Well some good news about my early build it has the new jack shaft and bearing in it and was a piece of cake to take out compared to the old ones.

Very good news, I have a 02/15 build date too... If I have the jackshaft I will almost forget that I don't have the new motor.

Using our Dynojet chassis dyno, definitely more power than the 2014 or 2015's I've had on.
