I will be there as well....

I will pay andy in Mexican pesos...you said $100 right ?

Will try to bring my brother and another buddy (lawnboy) along...

Nick

Mexican Pesos will work fine. Plenty of room at the cabin.

Im down for the Saturday, and if there is an evening get together on Friday let me know. I work swing shift and work Mids on Sunday. But Saturday is a 100% go for me! New member here but not new to Yamaha.

Not sure if you guys are against Canadians coming but if you are into some international relations I am in. Just moved to Fort Frances Ont this year (International Falls MN).
If anyone is along the way from I Falls I will have my double wide trailer with space for a sled and could always use a copilot
PM me with info as it becomes available. I hav e some vacation to burn before March.
If it ends up being a ATV trip if the trails are suitable for a bike I would still join. Would need input on a BMW g650X-challenge being able to do it though

Well let me tell you about going as a foreign.....They are a good group but I end up working like hell, all I do for this guys is serve drinks in speedo at the pool and clean clean clean. So don;pt be surprise if they get kinda wierd on you....

Of course I am just kidding. You should come, these rides are awesome and everybody is welcome...Once you get there you can ask Mr. Sled what is that the newbie gets to do pn the trip :moon:

Well My dates are set... I was a bit worried my yearly fishing trip up the Gunflint trail would be on that weekend. But alas it isnt so i will for sure be there for the Saturday ride at least!

Everyone is welcome regardless of where they're from.
I can ride any time I want (weather pending) but I choose to volunteer the time to organize this TY ride each year. Last year I made it to two of the TY rides in Michigan. One of the high points for me is meeting new people each year and putting faces to all the names I see across the computer screen. From my perspective, TY is unique in that most members are willing to bend over backwards to help out other members, often ones they have just met. Be it loaning parts or sleds to a member in need, to some more major repairs on sleds and trucks. Everyone seems to chip in and help out so no one is left behind. Just look at some of the past Northern Mn. TY rides for examples.
Would love to meet up and ride with you. I think it is only about a 2 hour drive from the Falls down to Chisholm. Looking forward to seeing you there.

I look forward to this, There arent as many people to ride with it seems so meeting new people is always a treat. Not only that it seems that Yamaha isnt a very widely used model here in Northern MN....

I would really like to make it to this ride to see some new sled country. Are these rides open to anything other then Yamaha. My little brother in law rides a ski-doo

You can bring/ride whatever you like. Just be ready to be given a little friendly jabbing if something other than a Yamaha.
Only requirements are you must adhere to TY rules and regualtions on our rides. They are listed at the top of the TY rides section. Basically be smart, safe and have fun.
Absoutly no drinking during the official TY rides! Members often will meet at the end of a ride for dinner at their favorite watering hole for stories and cocktails and camaraderie.

Hey Grizzly, how many people usually show up for these rides? seems like its going to be a pretty awesome group!

We might ride Yamaha's, but above all else we are sledders! Other brands are always welcome as long as they are civil and adhere to the ride rules. My brother-in-law switched from Yamaha to a Skidoo, and I still might let him come along...

How much snow do you all have up there in the Chisholm area??? I was up in Brimson to finish up my sled last weekend and there was roughly 6inches on the ground.
Looking like we might actually get a ride in this year!

I was at the Whiteface Reservoir over the Thanksgiving Weekend, not far from Brimson. Probably have 3-4" on the ground. I watched the lake freeze over Saturday morning in the matter of a couple of hours. Not nearly enough ice or snow yet ( At least for me!) But if it stays cold the next couple of weeks like the forecasts I've heard, we might be looking pretty good. Another week or two of this cold should freeze swamps and such up pretty good. Then all we need is a good 8"+ dumping so the groomers have something to work with. I have seen a few snowmobile tracks in the ditches already!
