Being that the boat is the size it is i am able to utilize stock yamaha control cables. I am also using the stock steering column, just modifying it a bit.

What is the black box beside the tether cord? Also will this have neutral/reverse? or just forward only?

What is the black box beside the tether cord? Also will this have neutral/reverse? or just forward only?

It is a jet drive so the impeller drives directly off the crank. So it is always moving forward if the engine is turning. The neutral/reverse will be handled by a reverse bucket over the jet nozzle.

The black box is a switch panel for the bilge pump.

Not alot of pics from the weekend but made a lot of progress. Disasembled the whole boat, then flipped and installed the plastic on the bottom. Then i started reassembly.

Wow just wow. I would be happy to figure out how to make mine go on the land in the summer much less the water! Jet boat conversion kit business coming soon haha
