Oversize wheels on 22 sidewinder ltx le 137" issue

I installed the 8.5" 4 wheels on my sled today, but in order to get the stop block shaft back in i had to really push the back wheels back to the point the track is SO tight and the inner wheels are right up tight to the shaft that the two rear stop blocks mount too. Any recommendations on how to cure this? Is there an aftermarket stop block that doesnt use the cross shaft so I can take some tension off my track?

I had the same problem when I changed my track. I ran it and the track stretches out pretty quick. If I did it again I would not have went with a 4th wheel kit that uses the larger wheels because I'd also like to try it with the bar removed and you can't with the larger wheels.

I thought about leaving the bar out but probably not a good idea. Might have to go back to the 8" wheels.

Who’s wheels are you using. I’m pretty sure 8.5” are to big for 2020 and up sidewinders.

I went with J&T kit for my 2020 and Todd sent me 8.2” wheels and they were tight to get on, I remember Todd telling me 2020 and up uses 8.2” wheels not 8.5”.

Take the coupler out as you do not need and will be way more fun to ride!!! the couplers can be more dangerous if you like to get some air in the rollers on some trails as when the rear of sled touchs first it then forces the front dwn hard slamming you into next roller having you bite the handlebars!! with couplers removed it allows you to keep in throttle forcing torque link to do as designed and keep front end up through next roller.

Not sure I can get the wheels back any further to even try to ride it plus the track is so dam tight right now before even moving the wheels back away from the bar.
Likely going back to the 8” wheels.

If I put two people on the sled, would I not need the blocks? I have a kimpex 2up.

I think the rear scissor will hit the wheels with out the blocks and shaft with big wheels and it'll make a mess!

With the bigger wheels and shaft and blocks out watch you don't hit wheels with suspension linkage

Leave the stock size wheels in no advantage with the bigger ones if there is not much

thinking about it, it might if track is new and hasnt stretched yet.

Pull the transfer rod, compress suspension and see how much room u have. I know guys that run 8.4 wheels and no rod.
