Maybe they put the wrong springs on. It would not surprise me. I know all the ZR8000's had the SRX springs so maybe they just used same on some Yamahas and not others? It should be pretty obvious once off. Those SRX springs in pic are brand new. When I put them on my 800 which has my Viper stock suspension in it last year I intended on using it mostly off trail so softer the better. I quickly noticed that at a minimum it would need a revalve for any big stuff I also learned that even with a 1.750 track a 129" sucks off trail! Oh and even with those springs there was very little sag till I got on it.
Another thing to consider is skis and even carbides. Keep coming back to the dollies example. Cant count the number of people who had dollies under their skis and thought the rear shocks were shot. Maybe they are right on the edge for where rear suspension collapses with this new suspension and spindles. Taller ski saddle,Carbides or just more spring or air pressure in skis can have a huge effect. Swampcat found that.
It does have a very slight effect on sag but nowhere near what these guys are seeing. Thats easy to check. If QS3 the knob wont click if nitrogen is lost in shock. For others Would have to remove shock and see if it extends on its own after compressing. If the nitrogen charge has no effect on sled sag , for sure both springs must be broken ... just get him to order springs ...

Has anyone looked at the new Cats yet they have there rear scissor bolts in the same hole as the 2019's and previous ones. Yamaha has moved the bolt down to lower hole and everything else is the same as Cats. I'm sure this is the season for all the sag and resting on the coupler blocks. Someone needs to move that bolt into the upper hole and see what happens. HellFlyer said the idler wheels hit something but I was told there no way they would rub or hit anything.

Interesting find TPAY. Why would Arctic Cat use the upper hole and Yamaha use the lower hole? I remember last year Yamaha sent out a bulletin notifying all dealers the lower hole was to be used on all 20's. So now confused as ever why Cat is using upper and Yam using lower.

The upper idlers are bigger on the 20 by 2” so if you put it in the upper hole the track will be 1” closer to the heat exchangers than a 19. I’d like to lower the sled if possible. I’ll have to remove the springs and cycle the suspension to be sureHas anyone looked at the new Cats yet they have there rear scissor bolts in the same hole as the 2019's and previous ones. I see your point HellFlyer but it should work the T Cat's are in the old hole, unless they have smaller idler wheels but I don't think they do. The only thing that would hit the heat exchanger would be the track if you run it lose.

Those upper idlers pivot up as the suspension cycles. I just don’t know how much

I looked at the pics of the 21 t-cat and it may have the smaller wheels on it. I bet it would transfer better on the upper holes!

Well if that's the case I will be setting mine up the way the T Cat is because I don't like the way mine is now and I just don't know how the suspension can work with all that sag and sitting on the coupler blocks.

I just looked at the part # for the 2019 and 2020 T Cat idler wheels and they are different 3604-901 for the 19 and 3604-264 for the 20 so I would assume that it has the bigger ones also.

So much for that theory! Would be nice if it could be lowered to the upper hole. Mine has no sag but when I switched with my buds 18 it did feel lower and he felt the extra height in mine.
I was looking at a new on today it sits really high. Here is holes it’s in

Yup that’s how mine sits! Be nice to lower it. Might even help snow get on the exchangers
