rxrider's Turbo Garage - pics back, will continue

Yeah the 80 shot is overkill it uses a whole bottle in 30 seconds flat, I'm going to a 40 for next year. The 80 hits like a freight train. Remember on the NX based kits they measure their shots at the wheels for cars so mine is more like 110hp shot. Its ballistic fast and I have never lost OFF the bottle except once and on the bottle its not even fun anymore, blow by them at 40-50 mph and never see them again. One guy just stopped turned around and was gone didn't even want to finish after the jump I got on him. It was a modified cat that had been spouting off. I don't care what you got you cannot compete with a modded 4 stroke ON THE TRAIL, they are simply more dependable and always faster.

There is a CPR turbo in the classifieds that would look good on my RX but don't think I can bring myself to tell the wife I'm tearing it apart this summer again! LOL

What are your goals for this project now rxrider, you had the last set up PERFECT.

Hahaha yes I had it pretty much perfect for a rear mount. I'm building on what I have, only difference is that I'm moving the turbo coverting it to a front mount. This time around it's all about response, which I hope to improve on by a lot. What does change is the exhaust system in front of the turbo, going with a Powderlites turbo header for MCX (Mitsubishi 16T), the precooler under the tunnel is removed. My Vortech Race Bypass has to be moved a little more to the right to make room for the turbo. And of course the air filter will be moved up front under the hood. All other systems will stay unchanged. Jetting may have to be changed.

I have also planned for a meth-injection kit. There are two options running the meth kit, increase the compression from 9.05:1 to 10:1 while keeping the boost at 16 lbs (removing 1 headgasket) or keeping the compression at 9.05:1 and up the boost from 16 to 18 lbs.

It will all be in here in text and pics.

Working on finishing my garage project, the Turbo Garage is close to finished, when done it's time to start working on the sleds.

The last two walls have been insulated and covered up with clapboard. Today I finished off 2 layers of paint, need another layer of paint and I'm done painting. Working on the sleds are getting closer, can't wait to wrench arghhhh need to get my hands dirty hahaha :)

If you're at home on Friday, June 27th I could come help you out wrenching. I'm driving over to Alta that day, would have been nice visiting your garage :)

I will, I'll call you when entering Alta.

One layer of paint left before finnished painting, hahaha post # 2727 had to post hahaha

Going to paint the last layer of white paint today, a litte more work and some electrical stuff left to do before it's finished :)
