stock 2017 Sidewinder gear with @2k miles. I had Lucas oil treatment in the chain case. Still has more bushing wear than I would like to see. I am going to try the gear with the 3 holes this time

Not sure exactly how they measure.....But I measure all mine and like the fitment. Its wider and longer then 8jp.How do the measurements compare to the 8JP? Also what are the benefits and price?
Thanks.
I hate the 8jp for belt dust, never seen such a dirty belt.
Most guys I have talked with say the Ultimax is as tough as the Cat belts, which are tough. Got 1 yr warranty too so if blowing belts alot, at least get it replaced. Grabbed another last week ebay for 97$

DMC, if you decide to try this belt, I'd like to see a test between this one and the 8jp, et and top speed comparison.

Good to hear, I will bet you wont see as good of belt life with the 22 though. That is by far best ive heard with 270hp. How many studs and what type trails?
I would not run an incorrect part number myself.

I ran 2000 miles on stock belt unstudded first season. Second season I went with TD Map Bundle and ran up to max spool 17 but mostly powertrail for another 1800 miles , this time with 180 woody's 1.575 triggers. (I put a new belt on just as preventative beginning of the season after tuning). I blew that belt at 1780ish miles strictly due to a high speed 126mph pull that sucked the belt far too deep into overdrive; snapping it in half. I'm confident had it not been for that run i'd be swapping that belt as preventative maintenance this year as well, neither of the two belts I've had on this sled in the last 3800miles have had a proper break in. First belt I was far more concerned with varying throttle and short WOT pulls to break in the motor and the second, well, I had just got done tuning and wanted to "feel the power" so it didn't get a proper break in either.
Edit: All on the stock 8jp with stock gearing.

To be fair I haven't lost a belt on Hurricane 270/290 tunes either so I don't know what "Powertrail......says it all" is supposed to mean

Powertrail is what I ran....it is NOT quick nor early spool, easy on belts...we ran 3/4 of a season on it and stock belt never got hurt once.To be fair I haven't lost a belt on Hurricane 270/290 tunes either so I don't know what "Powertrail......says it all" is supposed to mean
You are in the minority, if you run 270r tune and have good traction(long studs) and ride fairly hard, not many have got more then 500 to 700 miles out of a belt. Mine went 700 best. They will last longer if you run big trails though, corner to corner they take a beating and snap.
How many miles on a belt?
What clutching do you run? offset? Belt?
thanks
Dan

8JP, couldn't even tell you how many miles on it. It was on the sled when I bought it used. I tuned it right away. Only put around 1000 miles on it myself since. Ulmer clutching, stock gearing. Never even checked my offset last year, clutches were cool and didn't have belt issues so didn't bother. I'm going to get Daves alignment tool and check it out because I'm curious where I'm at. I'm going to the Storm 150 this year and Daves header with the header tunes so there will be some extra stress on the belt this year.

My clutches run cool too, never hot. I would guess your offset is around 60-61mm or so. Do you run more higher speeds or more smaller trails?
Always nice to hear this....and If i were you, id not touch it! haha
