FYI - I just got 2 stock gears from country cat and they both have the 3 holes and the bushing is drilled all the way through.

Which 1.5 cat belt do you mean DanAgree Brother....after a season(2 total) now with these winders....Its becoming clear what setups will eat belts pretty much instantly. Big traction and tall gears while turned up over 270hp will pretty much take ANY belt out in a few miles when flipper is whacked. And for guys like me in tight trails, corner to corner the belt issues arise much faster the wide open trails.
Im pulling back on gearing(back to stock 21/41, but considering a 42 lower too for a 123gps top speed) which alone should help me. I also lowered my offset late last season hoping for some help there too.....Also going to run another Ultimax as the cat guys swear by them(similar to the 112 cat belt for life) and also going down to a slightly less steep helix to keep consistant tension down low on belt.
If this yr is not much better, I will slap a TEAM(cat) primary on for next yr which will allow the wide 1.5" cat belts then.
Dan

If you read my post, I was talking about a TEAM primary. Its the only way to run wide belts. A wider belt should be longer to fit our stock secondary, and likely would work out well. But I have never mocked one up so that remains to be seen. Probably the correct step would be to convert the secondary over to cat(TEAM) as well....That would need a Jshaft swap too though. They’re not too long for the sidewinder I thought Cat belts were a bit longer?
Id much rather get my YAM clutches to give me better belt life as its alot cheaper..lol .

I thought 911 cover just dialed inward, and was not able to go outward.....so 911 allows for a 1.5"?Thanks I do have the 911 cover for running wider belts

You'd need to shim the spider wider by the difference in belt width to keep the weights untucked. If you didn't add shims behind the spider the weights would be tucked further and belt slip would be too great. Don't just go throwing on a wider belt and expect it to work.

I never measured for sure but I know when I put the cover on and a new stock belt I half to turn it in a fair bit so I’m pretty sure it will take wider belt for sureI thought 911 cover just dialed inward, and was not able to go outward.....so 911 allows for a 1.5"?
