Snow Trackers for Stryke Skis

Asking as I did about 500km of trail running this weekend, and while the handling is pretty good, I think there is a little too much darting. 2022 ST-X GT.
What carbides and how many miles on your sled? These sleds need at least 500 miles from brand new for the shock springs/shocks to break in. Fronts and middle. Do not chase these sleds on handling to much until 500+ miles. Unless it’s really terrible I would leave it. Mine has 780 miles on it and it’s WAY DIFFERENT HANDLING NOW. Everything needs to break in some. This same thing happened to me on my 17 Windèr. I find I had my front shock springs as loose as possible new and now they are to soft at 600 miles. Good for thought. I can tell you the double down are really good and very predictable. I made 3 adjustments while goi g back out on same trail 3 different times after each adjustment. Really getting good now. But I still can’t come close to keeping up with my 8000 cat in the tight twisties with semi aggressive on the cat skis.

I feel like the handling/darting has gotten worse the more miles I put on. Just under 700 now. Probably time to start playing with it again.

Yes the ride components broke in. Get it right now and it’s golden if you rebuild shocks every year. I literally had to go to setting 1 on my front QS3r kashima to loosen up the turning. Now with 780 miles on it pushes like crazy on setting 1. Had to tighten up the front shock springs. I also tightened up my middle spring SLIGHTLY. I’m running t cat front shock springs AND rear torsion springs.

Thanks, that's great advice :). I just passed the 650km on it, and really just had the first run through rougher trails, so I'm sure the shocks are still pretty stiff, as you say. I have a week of sledding coming up, so will see how that goes.

I'll try that. I don't have QS3R's, just the standard shocks with rebound only I think? I'll tighten the front springs some. It pushes like crazy. I don't feel the steering is overly heavy right now also.

other than really cold , all good . I must be getting soft , as the weekend was one of the warmer that you will see up there in January.
Rode with a 300 hp winder for a day , that I met up with .
Sled started easy in the cold , not so much the 19 winder , must be the relays .
Sled ran great , and seemed to spool up quicker than my 17 .
Hit the 100 mph mark a few times as I was varying the rpms constantly .
Even saw 9000 rpms a couple times , which I never saw on my 17.
As expected , with some loose snow on the trails , the sled took longer to stop with the 1" track and 1.5" studs than I recall with the 1.25 inch lugs and 1.5's on the 17 .
Have to figure out the shock settings , to be able to compare the ride to the QS3 R's on my 17.
Sharp looking sled for sure , and pretty happy to find this one !
I find it interesting you say “ even saw 9000 rpms a couple of times “ .
My 22 Le , right from the first 50 km (with a light break in for 10km ) all stock would pull right through the stock clutching to 9100 rpm . It’s like the sled had a extra 15-20 hp stock over my 18 LE & 21 SrX , . I have since put a hurricane flash in ( same set up last year ) and the sled beats other sidewinders that I raced last year by a bunch more …. I’m really going to have a hard time upgrading sleds next year unless it’s a new chassis . lol . This is by far the most impressive sled I have ever had speed wise yet .

Getting back to topic, I have semi aggressive snow trackers on my LE , I would probably go with the aggressive snow trackers with the 1 1/4 track after riding it . It pushes with fresh snow riding fast .

what year sled and skis. Most all skis and carbides will push SOME in loose snow. I find it nearly impossible to have it both ways. In that I’m saying if it handles awesome on hard pack it will not be awesome on looser snow(push slightly).. And vice versa. I like to set up for hard pack as I ride mostly early AM. When trails get looser or it’s snowing out I slow down slightly as it will push slightly.

What carbides?
