Cat had a 1000 twin from 2007 - 2011 (if memory serves). They claimed 165 hp and 120 ftlbs of torque and were also touted as a "mach eater" in some publications. My 2007 F1000 was not.AC 900 Suzuki twins were bullet proof. The 1000 was a TCat triple 2S 1998-2002.

The 900 twin Zukes were the smokers, and the 1100(1050) was the 4s. The 4s twins are the ones you guys are thinking of that sounded like a tractor. You guys are getting them mixed up.
And the 4s 500 Phazer woulda sounded like a tractor too if it had more displacement. Big bore parallel twin 4s engines have a weird sound.

The Phazer doesn't sound like the other parallel twins because of it's unique firing order, 180° - 540° - 180° - 540° rather than every 360° like the others.

I rode the lynx and mach z last weekend on a beat up trail and i will take my winder suspension with the kashima Qs3's any day over either!!you are talking this up WAY to much!!
Don't get me wrong, I would take my Sidewinder anyday vs the Lynx. It was just fun to try other new sleds and compare. I love my Sidewinder and won't be giving that baby up!

Yep my buddy thought his Ski Doo was fast toDon't let the Skidoo fool you. They feel slow. I don't know if it's the riding position, lack of noise or throttle but they just don't feel fast. I spent a lot of money on mine and it was pretty quick on a GPS but it didn't feel fast. My buddy and I would swap back and forth from his winder to my skidoo and his felt way faster. When we raced they were side by side. I hope the new throttle solves some of that feeling for those spending the boat load of cash on one.

Ya those f1000s were turds in the speed department. My buddy had one back in the day, thought he was going to destroy my Nytro. It didnt go how he thought it would

That is still every 360.... 180 + 360 = 540 and (540 + 360) mod 720 = 180 So what you wrote mathematically is the same as 0-360-0-360

This is the Phazer crank. It also has 12,200rpm rev limit and is normally clutched to 11,600-11,800rpm.

Yup the Suzuki Twin IS a tractor motor but a fast one with a Turbo! Think of what a 1000 Phazer Turbo motor would be like. Heck even without a Turbo.Picture worth a thousand words!

Ok, so it fires at 0 and 180. Makes sense

It fires, half turn of the crank (180) it fires again. Then one and a half turns (540) it fires, then half turn.... you got the idea.
