Hey all, just curious if weights are a must if I was to ship me ECU out to TD/Precision for a 230HP tune? Both sites say that just the ECU flash is needed. Others I've spoke to say you need to do weights, too? What's your take on this? I know that these low HP add tunes are fairly safe, but wanted to get your opinions.

My experience is weights not needed.
The stock rpm are about 85-8600 and the tune calls for 89-9000 rpm.
The extra power will help achieve desired target.
If you were to experience rpm too high, then switch to the XS belt.

Ran TD eco trail on a 2017 Sidewinder from 0 miles. Great mild tune! Flawless. I think I had 2-3k miles on that tune before going to power trail,

Love the eco tune, pulls 9k and stays well into triple digits. No fuss tune

So with the eco tune what are folks seeing for mpg improvements?

I have run the TD stage 1 tune for 3 seasons now and just gives you a little more fun factor! all stock clutching and no different fuel requirements! good bang for the $$. just my 2 cents!

I find MS17 to give the best fuel mileage of all TD tunes.......and it rips.

I honestly can't say I noticed any better fuel mileage, certainly not any less. 10-15% more power with no downsides, I think I paid around 300 bucks, it's probably the best mod ever for a 998t.

I'm not buying the tune for fuel mileage lol.
However, maintaining the stock mileage or anything better is just an extra bonus.

Sounds like no downside with that tune. Great! I think that’s the way I’m going to go

You'll be pinning the throttle too much to worry about mpg.
So do your best to control that right thumb.
