Hahaha, he should have wrote a prescription for it. Claim it on his health insurance........I might be making the switch to Precision in the off season. I'll be in touch.

Okay after sleeping on what Knapp responded to me I decided to dig threw my “stuff” and you all know what I mean by that! I found a white spring. Not sure what it was but after conferring with “Clutchmaster” we had us pussyfooted white spring!!!Well I decided to play a little today not the greatest by any means for testing but I’m officially onboard with a heavier secondary spring. Still have some testing to do but after bumping to powertrail from eco and dropping a 22 top in I figured I needed to make some changes. So I added .8 grams on the tips of the HH which doesn’t sound like alot BUT guys that use them know it’s plenty. Ran it some with everything the same as before. Not bad. But lacking that RPM build in the middle. This was the stock spring on a straight 38 wrapped@ 6/1. This was just a short little ride down a packed road nothing over 55 or so. New chain and gear not wanting to pound it to hard. Just wanting the chain to loosen up some. Then I try the Cat white @ 9/2 everything else the same. Much better middle and a 300-400 gain rpm. Long story short I was looking for a tad more rpm from my last trip. It’s feeling good! Need more testing but I really like the pussyfooted white spring. Will report back after more testing. So it’s a straight 38 with HH and the cat white at 9/2. Powertrail and turbo force can. Will report back on weight placement and such with more testing.
O and it’s lots of fun getting the spring in and changing belts with this spring!

View attachment 145690 Stm orange, if you hear a "shot around the world" don't worry, it was just the helix flying through the roof and this orange spring propelling it! :dunno:
Allen,i am still running all my STM stuff from last year, both springs front and back w/38,do you think the Dalton white at 0-1 would be better at belt slip on my straight 38,vrs the red spring you provided in your kit?

How does this STM orange compare to the Dalton cat Black/purple? Looks similar in coils and wire size. I didn't like how that Short spring performed compared to the Dalton cat white and Black/Lime

Don't be afraid to try the 8DN with that setup!

And they are a bugger to change belts on with that spring! About a 170-280 on that spring with that wrap actual. Maybe back it down to 9-1 with a stickier 8JP belt.

I'm not familiar with any of the Dalton springs, so I can't answer that.

I haven't run any of the Dalton springs.

Allen,it is a cat spring, and I guess it is same as a cat green?

So much of this is tune (horsepower) dependant. What works at 250-260 hp may not work the same at 270-280.

No worries I have been a 8dn from day one on these things. But I also have run the 8jp and ultimax 835 got a 825 coming. It’s either that or a 8dn. Can’t stand the 8jp>“Trying to catch me riding dirty”!!
Thanks for reply on here. It seems you made my Steve OCD thing kick in!
