They recommend using red locktight,which I find needs heat to release,and have run these weights a lot in past,and always used heat to get screws out,and never had an issue till now.

That would definitely be the difference. I don't use red on my clutch parts.

Years ago STM used to send out a small tube of red locker with his weights,maybe now he does not send any locker,maybe I should run the blue than.

Are the spring holes in the TP helix in same position as your stock helix?

Personally I prefer the stock 35 degree helix, works awesome on my sled with TD Powertrail flash.

I also have the 33/35 and TP orange spring. I'm still adjusting my weights to get target rpms. I did blow my first belt but belt had 1400 miles and when I put a new one on my clutches were warm but not hot at all. I'm also interested in trying out a dalton orange black secondary spring where are you guys buying them from? D&D didn't list it only a red and can't find it anywhere except thru dalton and they want as much for shipping to Maine as the spring itself. Not gonna pay 60 bucks for a spring. Has anyone tried any other yamaha aprings? Like a white? Just curious

We have tried every spring out there and working thru Thunder Products, we custom made this orange secondary spring. The company is out west and supplies to Thunder Products.

The white Yamaha spring also coil binds as it has the same amount of coils and same wire diameter as the pink Yamaha. Our goal was to eliminate the coil bind and duplicate the stock SW spring for tortion and side pressure. But after testing some samples, the little bit more side pressure worked awesome. The less diameter and less coils made big results in everything we put it in.
