My god, you guys seem pretty well equiped, thanks for all the info... i 'm still on the fence about getting the sidewinder, but i like le stuff i see here...
One thing I like about TD is you can go to your local dealer and get the flash if they are a dealer for them. Usually a smart dealer has one tech do the mods. He becomes a expert at it quickly. As you may have heard from me I have called the 1100 Cat turbo a tractor and wasn't impressed even though stock it just kept climbing it was boring no real snap. Buddy did nothing but TD tune with map select switch. No exhaust. Just clutching and all the belt saving measures. He knows without exhaust he can't run for long on other than trail mode but when he has good gas and turns that switch Holy cow what a difference it makes in acceleration! He has 13000 mi on that sled now almost all with the tune. Never touched motor other than valve clearance check over summer. They were fine. Can't imagine the power on a Sidewinder with no negatives I can think of.
Question for Turbo Dynamics. Is the same tool used to flash the Sidewinder as is used for cats? Do your dealers have to pay to flash the Yamahas in addition to the cats or is it just the per flash fee?

Turbo Dynamics - have you done any decibel testing (even with a smartphone app) on the 2 muffler choices?
Great Info and results! I Love the detail.

I thought this was a Turbo Dynamics thread not a D & D thread or a MC Express thread ..

And Nobody said a exact number because track, suspension, drivers, gearing, slides etc all affect track hp. Another reason a dyno is a tuning tool nothing more.

This was to prove that 50 percent is what is correct not the 57 percent per Stigapex post. Nothing to do with turbo dynamics just show what the facts are from sumbody else. 2nd shows that cat clutches are not as good as the Yamaha.

I get it but we have to be careful on the amount of facts being posted. I dont believe this is a battle of Dyno Results or correction factors let alone the percentage back to the track. Its about a base line and how much was improved from that base line.
Right! I cant Fathom why that is so difficult to understand.I get it but we have to be careful on the amount of facts being posted. This came the other day from TD.. Real nice piece .. Going with the aftermarket exhaust flash. Which keeps boost levels same as stock, and adds some fuel.. Did not get flash just waiting for TD to finalize flash.
This might get this thread back to where it was? LOL

YES it should! I'm holding out for a little more testing from TD but will definitely go with either the TF or Super Quiet and EcoTrail tune. I'd love to see some decibel numbers for both mufflers and TD said on their FB site they will when they get some snow. I'm getting old(er) and I want the extra power but don't want to be "that guy" when it comes to noise.View attachment 122200

Nice looking muffler. I ran the Td turbo force on my xf9000 and it worked excellent and held up great for 3 seasons. Ben makes a very nice product!

I might get this one on in the next few days.. Maybe see what it sounds like? I really hope its not super loud..
I get a flash and then its to loud? Then what does a guy do? I guess that's the chance you take. its so hard to base sound levels off idle on concrete or even driving on dirt/grass. what it sound like on snow is the real test.. will see

Amazing looking muffler, but in my area, you can't go loud , there is no tolerance for that, so i'm sticking with stock or gutted stock not too loud

This is our TD Stock modified mufflers stage 2.
Made 122 at the track so roughly 244hp vs 106/212hp stock vs 129/258 for TD turboforce
Great choice for sensitive trails and those not wanting too much noise.
