Apparently there is a fix to the infamous Yamaha clutch rattle by putting 280 bearing and shaft loctite on the PTO stub shaft, I'm pretty mechanical, but, have never taken off the primary on my sled (2018 Viper), is it fairly easy and if so, can anyone walk my through the procedure? Thanks in advance.

I would be wary of locking that clutch directly to the crankshaft...........

Many approaches and most failures, a search of the site will reveal incredible approaches and fails. I have learned to live with it and just always shut off when stopped - I have 3 of these sleds -Venture, VIper and Vector all sound different but ‘rattle’ if they are left to idle.

I've kind of got used to it after a couple seasons, it's only annoying at speeds from about 15 mph to 23 mph when going through winding trails in the woods, I know the best solution is to go faster!!!
