Warning, -16 late build Viper turbo breakdowns, bad rods.

Yeah had a boost gauge... And the ebc was unplugged also.. Was reading between 4 and 5.. Plus my clutching was bang on just got it right and first ride today lots of powder and on the way back on the side of the highway just going about 30 kmh and she popped lol

Bummer, only 247! Unreal!! Where are you located in Ontario? We have no snow down south...

This sucks! Let me know if you run into any trouble getting it fixed. Read your warranty well. Its a good warranty.
My dad was mecanic at the yamaha dealer for 25 years so shouldnt have a problem lol

Well looks like my rods finally let go.. Just when we got a #*$&@ ton of snow.. Just great!
My condolences Yamahashane
How much boost were you using? were you staying under the rev limiter?
Your info may help others
thanks

I was running between 4 and 5 and the ebc was bypassed.. I had hit the rev limiter in the pass a couple times but i was dialing in my clutching, as for today when it blew, didnt rev over 8600..

I did not open anything yet.. Just opened the side panels to see if oil leaked everywhere and there was nothing.. Was going pretty slow when it happened so probably just cracked inside.

Bringing it at the shop tommorow then we will see damage

Another one bites the dust at 90 miles
