I'm so confused with all the iterations from fox, elka etc?
From what I gather the fox line has some that come standard on OEMs and then there is a aftermarket line that is an upgrade?
Sorry I am being sort of lazy just looking for ideas. I have a BTX SE 40" stance with Fox floats 3s front and rear shock and looking to get a smoother rear suspension and adjustable front shocks that will soak up the Saturday night moguls but that I could firm up for Wednesday glass smooth high speed corner trails. On my apex the Ohlins were my favorite and did what I needed after custom valving.
Curious what you guys are playing with and like. Thanks

I have no idea.. Cannondale would know. The QS3 shocks that came on my 17 Winder LE are the ones I like best. I even have them on my 2014 Viper Turbo

I think these are correct ones but I would call Carver and check. The Evol RC have a lot more adjustability than the qs3 shocks. 22 compression settings and 18 rebound. Same with the rear ones.

For the money the Fox Shocks are IMO the best. It will cost you double the money for an Axis shock that has no rebound adjustments.
The zero pro’s I listed from Carver are really QS3R’s just with a lot more adjustment.
You can have the most expensive shock made if the valving calibration isn’t right they are basically garbage. Twenty two settings is a lot better than three, It allows you to tailor your ride. If you plan on changing your springs to a different rate then the wider range of rebound dampening is needed for best results.
The front Evol with the double pressure chambers are sweet! Soft on the first 7” of travel but stiffen up when depressed further. You can adjust the pressures soft for stutters and stiffer if the shock goes further in. In conjunction with 22 compression settings and 16 rebound settings makes these shocks by far the most adjustable shocks for the money.

Yes the but the 2.0” shock is only used on the skid rear shock. The front skid shock is a 1.5” bore. The set I referenced is a 1.5” front skid shock, 2.0” rear skid shock.Tom there are two version of QS3s right? OEM performance 1.5" bore and aftermarket performance 2" bore? Its all so confusing LOL

Ok these are rebound adjustable also, but more than double the price.
Very similar shock to the fox but they have a 5/8” shaft that will give a stiffer ride generally.

IMO using a 5/8” shaft on the front shocks is overkill and really only for snowX racing/jumping.
