What MPH are you getting out of your Apex

Was playing around with clucthing again yesterday..131 speedo..NOT radar ..Hard snow..

My old 03 RX1 with the camo finger junk track was a lot faster on top than the identical black RX I had, with a ripsaw installed. Regularly saw 130 (dreameter) on Salmon river reservoir (6+miles) when good conditions. But the ripsaw would kill it in any kind of loose snow. My Apex is slower than the camo RX1 too. Track lug has a lot to do with top end.

I have an 06 GT and I saw 114mph on radar on 1/2 mile ice track two weekends ago. Conditions were humid but no wind. My sled is stock with 96 studs down the middle.

With that said there was an 07 RTX that did 115. All others did 106-110.

From most info I have read and seen, 110-115 is about the norm. Anything above that is either a "good one" from factory or most likely well tuned by an experienced tuner.

Oh, I forgot the $190 dollars worth of Stud Boy Dueces, I sure hope they are worth the money and last longer than those cheap a** factory carbides.

I have 1200 miles on mine, but they have had more than their share of roadsides and such due to last years bad season and having a new sled desperate for snow, lol.

My left carbides dont even look worn at all, I actualy cut my finger on it while checking it too. I think a lot of people have good results with lifespan on these.

06 apex stock 1 inch track on lake ice strip 122 dreamo 111 gps next day on lake ice road 127 dreamo no gps buddies 01 srx some clutch work 14000 km on it ice strip 112 gps next night 117 gps blew his belt . 10 800 cfr ice strip 110 gps 03 rx1 ice strip 110 gps gotta love those yammies 14000 km and still strong can't say the same about doos poos and cats i'd rebuilt my old mach 3 times before i'd hit 14000 km

one thing you must factor in is your body weight. guy like myself at 6'5" and 300lbs is gonna have at least a 5-7 mph slower then a guy at 200 lbs. a few years ago on hard pack plowed lane i couldnt get my 05rx1 faster then 99 mph on radar. i let a 140 guy try and he recorded a 106 mph. so weight is a big factor

The 103mph is the best I have gotten ( gps'd), wishometer was reading 114-116. Funny cuz I was running neck and neck with an 800 etec today. All I need is another few mph and I would be happy. Sled is stock 08 apex gt.

Still playing...But 133 today..Speedo !-- hard snow..NO radar...Saturday will be radaring ..

2006 Attak

120 MPH Dream meter plowed road. 5000 miles, 1.25" Ripsaw, 162 studs, CK10 Plugs, Ulmer Air Box, Ulmer Stage II clutching. Full Tank of fuel and 230 lb rider. Oh super low RTX Windshield....thinking if I put stock one back on I might pick up a few MPH cause nothing to hide behind (-:

Personal best on my 07 RTX yesterday 125 on Dreamo on packed frozen river. Am happy as I am running a very tight track so it won't ratchet in the little bit of powder we have this year. I also am running the mountain skis and big windsheild which cant be good for top end. Machine is stock as far as engine and clutching. Need to compare to GPS to see what accual speed is.

Last year o8 Apex ltx ran 119.6 on radar on a perfect 2500 ft. ice strip and bone stock. I weigh 225. For comparison, same day, wife's 09 Vector ran 109 with me on it and 2 Nytros (09 and 10) ran 111's. 7 Attak with clutch kit 118.5.
