Every person who has a tune thinks their's is the best. Very few have tried tunes from more than one vendor.

Call both tuners. Ask the questions you want to ask, and make an informed decision.

No matter what you choose, you will have more power than stock.

I'm loving the Hurricane tune bundle for the performance muffler, only using the 290 really though. Its an addiction!

I do want to give a try to the stock muffler bundle at some point. Very nice for tight trails all that quiet.

I talked to all 3 vendors at show. Hands down most organized IMO was Hurricane Dave and his crew great customer service. He stated to me that if I don’t like the setup to return it for full refund and guess what I’m all smiles and also 3 others with his flashes. This is my personal experience. But all other vendors I’m sure are good as well.

It really depends on how and where you ride. For the trails get the stock muffler juke box. The noise level of the so called quiet mufflers becomes very annoying after awhile. If you have to be the fastest(which you never will be) then go for one of the 290/300 bundles. It doesn’t really matter which vendor you pick they are all excellent. Just a matter of which one makes you feel most comfortable. I have both TD JUKE Box tunes for SM and SQM. I switched back to SM 260 because of the noise while trail riding. I can always swap mufflers and tunes for radar runs or lake running.

I went with Hurricane last year with their 240R tune. This year I wanted to upgrade and called another vendor and they just instantly put down their competitors. I opted to stay with my 240R and will make a change next season. Glad I did, my sled is pretty close to my friends max17 tune and he is saying he is 285hp.

I called around and researched as well when I tuned. While others spent our conversations telling me how bad their competitors were Dave at Hurricane just gave me the facts of his tunes, what horsepower, the difference between the standard and R tunes (at the time you could still go either way), the required octane at each tune, all the additional options such as antilag, data logging, mufflers, clutching etc. He never once mentioned his competitors, put them down, or talked himself up. So it was a no brainer for me at that time. With that said Precision EFI was not on the scene with the Sidewinder at the time so I had no conversations with them. If I were to go Precision, Ulmer Racing is a dealer now and Allen always took care of me with my Viper build.
