I don’t know about the 270 ,comes on to strong, it scares the #*$&@ out of you and then you have to let go, I’d stay with the 240r,
I run Precision EFI stage 3. It is absolutely flawless and would recommed to anyone asking. 280 on 91 is so much damn fun. As mentioned earlier, Allen Ulmer can tune, get you an exhaust and clutching that flat out rocks. Im amazed how cool my clutches run with this much power and have seen much higher clutch temps on other Sidewinders with competetors clutching. Ive got 1200 miles on the latest belt, no dust, no heat, just perfect. It honestly couuldnt be better.

I had 2 questions for Hurricane on Saturday morning. I just checked my phone: first reply took 41 minutes, second reply was 1 minute. This exceeds my expectations for customer support. Thanks guys, I was leaning towards TD, but the response time is pretty much nil? Hurricane answered within the hr, no word from Precision yet but I just msg them not long ago. cant wait to talk to Dave about what he has in-store!!
And i can't even imagine how many other calls and texts Dave is answering all weekend long. Hell, all week long for that matter.I had 2 questions for Hurricane on Saturday morning. I just checked my phone: first reply took 41 minutes, second reply was 1 minute. This exceeds my expectations for customer support.

I have Turbo dynamics max spool 16 stock exhaust XTX 141, turbo smart BOV, 3 bar, CAI, Thunder Products clutching That i was second gussing after reading maybe too much on here but went with Terry's set up for my tune and it was right on the money. I have 1200 miles on now with same Timken 825 belt. i am sure others run better but this set up is plenty strong for trail riding. I just got back from Maine and rode 700 miles in 3 days, clutches are just a little warm after 3/4 mile wide open shot. I do have extra venting both intake and exhaust venting. at normal trail speeds between 40 and 60 MPH averaged 15 MPG. If you have anything other than stock exhaust in Maine and get stopped you will PAY!!! I watched 3 guys get stopped in front of me and get written up near Jackman. 2 were turbos, 1 cat 1 sidewinder the other guy in that group had 800 Cat. the turbos were tuned and sounded louder than stock and the 2 smoke was real loud. the game warden had them all remove there side covers and wrote them all up!!!!! I asked the warden what the deal was and he said ANYTHING NOT STOCK IS NOT LEGAL IN MAINE!!!

buy a gap flasher and change your tunes as you need them. i went with td and ben's always got back to me. i have a bundle for my stock muffler and a performance exhaust bundle. i can change my sled back and forth from race to trail in 5-7mins depending how hot the exhaust is when i try to change it. the flasher only thanks 48 sec's to download and if you change your exhaust bolts to a 13mm bolt and ditch the torque bits you'll be a lot happier.
if you get a ticket here for a non stock exhaust in ontario it's $110+fees. they won't give you a pass, so if you get caught 2-3 times. it'll pay for you to buy the flasher in know time. i know td and hurricane will both sell you a flasher.

Did either winder have a modstock muffler, not a quiet muffler, but a stock muffler modded, they look stock, except the outlet may look larger till it slims down to stock size, and they are getting louder now with miles on,ya maine does not use sound devises to check descible readings with, only care if it has been modified period.I have Turbo dynamics max spool 16 stock exhaust XTX 141, turbo smart BOV, 3 bar, CAI, Thunder Products clutching That i was second gussing after reading maybe too much on here but went with Terry's set up for my tune and it was right on the money. The days of Wardens on the trails where I live is a thing of the past. I see the police out on sleds once in a while but very rare to ever have them say anything about noise unless it is ear-bleeding loud. Mostly checking for paperwork and booze.I have Turbo dynamics max spool 16 stock exhaust XTX 141, turbo smart BOV, 3 bar, CAI, Thunder Products clutching That i was second gussing after reading maybe too much on here but went with Terry's set up for my tune and it was right on the money. I am not sure what muffler they had, I do know they were noticeable louder than stock and had to be after market because this warden knew his stuff and was tape measure the outlet. One guy even said to the officer suppose i dont want to remove my side panel the officer was polite and told him he would impound the sled on the spot. at that point the side panels started coming off. at first i did not even notice the officer in the middle of sleds and riders. i thought it was a group having a chat and blocking the trail. i was getting pissed waiting for someone to move so i could be on my way. when a guy moved and i had an opening i shot through and grabbed a handful and roosted the guys and the officer. i went a 1/4 mile and looked back and my girlfriend was not coming so i went back and for the first time noticed the officer who stopped my GF to check her reg. I apoligized to officer for roosting him out and explained and he was cool with it but not cool with the after market mufflers. he even told me about how the yamaha's modded there stock muffler, i pretended i was not aware but this guy was on his game. he even noticed all the extra venting holes i have in my side panels and asked if i have any problem with snow getting to the clutch through the holes. I am sure he knew i did not put them there for the fun of it but my muffler is stock with TD max spool 16. the clutch makes more noise than the exhaust.Did either winder have a modstock muffler, not a quiet muffler, but a stock muffler modded, they look stock, except the outlet may look larger till it slims down to stock size, and they are getting louder now with miles on,ya maine does not use sound devises to check descible readings with, only care if it has been modified period.
