I have hurricane stock muffler tune bundle 225hp / 240hp/270hp all switch through the stock gauge on the fly!!!
Close to 3000 flawless km!! I absolutley love this set up it works really well!!!
I often find myself giggling like a school girl in my helmet when pulling the trigger!!!
Marc..do you have the flash to pass button?? I do and love it. I can also change it on the gauge(cluster flash) as you do, if I want to when I’m sitting still..but I use the button to switch tunes most all the time.
I had to change and lighten up my clutch weights after my first trip in December...but once I did that, it’s really fabulous!! Power is sooo Fun! Only have a little over 600 miles on it this season with the tunes in, but hoping to get up to Maine maybe a week from now.
But I would also recommend Hurricane...and the SM Tunes are the real deal...super impressive and stock quiet too.

I was stopped in Vermont for going to fast on the rail trail. I didn't realize it was 35 mph on that. He checked everything and gave me a warning. I'm running the VF 3" exhaust. He never even mentioned noise. It was a game warden.Your lucky, if you ride Quebec, Ontario, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine they are out and just getting started to really crack down on noise!!!

I have researched the main 3 vendors and the best bang for the buck for me was the stock muffler bundle tune From Hurricane. I have it set up to get done with Knappattack being he is a vendor for them and lives relatively close to me. I like the idea of no extra muffler , sounds stock so no chance of a ticket and all the mufflers out there are $500-700 extra cost. Some are annoyingly loud too. That gets old on a long day in the saddle.
One word to the wise, the CAI does block air flow to the clutches. You better get better venting or your clutches will get hot and that means higher chances of blowing belts. I have seen this first hand.

I have a 2019 and can toggle through each tune from my hanldebars( 2019 have a gauge toggle on the handlebar). So no need for flash to pass button!!!Marc..do you have the flash to pass button?? Glad to hear you are enjoying your beast!!!!
Only problem with the extra power is that in the future ill never be happy with any other machine if it has less power....lol

Hurry up and tune!!!!lol season is getting shorter!I have researched the main 3 vendors and the best bang for the buck for me was the stock muffler bundle tune From Hurricane. I haven't had any issues with clutch heat or blowing belts with cai with cat anyway!!! Team clutches are doing well so far with 3000km and original belt

Yes, and the 19 Yamaha models with the electronic shocks can toggle through tunes with left side of shock adjust button.I have a 2019 and can toggle through each tune from my hanldebars( 2019 have a gauge toggle bottom on the handlebar). So no need for flash to pass button!!!
Glad to hear you are enjoying your beast!!!!

You will need the specific tunes to run stock muffler and it's works way better with 3 bar map sensor and turbosmart bov (on the 270hp stock muffler tune)I purchased the Hurricane trail muffler tune bundle with flasher. Do I need to buy different weights, map sensor, and BOV to run the stock muffler bundle?
If you get the stock muffler tunes and opt not to add 3 bar map sensor make sure to let them know! There is a different map to run stock muffler with stock map sensor and 3 bar

Yes you will need 3 bar map sensor. Your rpm’s will rise with the extra power so you will need adjustable clutch weights and a new primary and secondary spring. My choice was Dalton’s being you can fine tune them without pulling the clutch apart. They load near the heel with set screws and a T handle Allen wrench. Also you need the Turbosmart BOV in 34mm being you could run into issues running the 270 map. The stock BOV blows off a hair under your psi at that HP tune.

What weight do you have with you current set Up? You will need adjustability between 76 and 80 grams to get the target 8800rpm on the stock muffler tune (270)I purchased the Hurricane trail muffler tune bundle with flasher. My clutches are all stock except weights
