I know and I have future plans haha, I wanted to get some miles on the sled and make sure I could get good belt life on a small tune and make sure any sneaky issues have shown their face and been worked out before slapping larger tune on.PT is where you want 2 be ......just sayin

Yes XS. Seems to be working great. That’s good info! The stock weights don’t push very hard on the big end. I assume your running the XS belt?

The weights are loaded with 3-4.5 rivets. They came this way on pre 19 sidewinders. Quite a difference from the Xs belt to the JP.What are you running for rivets in the stock weights? This is good info........Im running eco trail sm for now and havent played with the clutching too much yet. Im getting my clutch machined 2mm right now to get alignment in check with the hurricane bar and purchased a few ultimax xs belts to try out. im over reving by about 300 rpm with 8Jp right now and stock clutching. I have some daltons to work with as well but for some reason I seem to prefer the yamaha weights for my type of riding.

Would be nice to see some track dyno pulls with the different belts.

Agreed, generally speaking the less weight you can run, with low clutch temps, the more efficient your setup will be. I was having issues getting below 140 degree temps, some guys on this site are having great success with temps below 100 degrees with the XS belt......that’s awsome!

I'm hoping to try Max Spool 16 with an XS825 and mostly stock clutch components relatively soon.
If it over revs, I'll pick up some heavier weights.

Finally got to run and tune clutches with xs 825. Everything posted on here by others is totally accurate. Needed to drop ton of weight out of D&D magnaforce weights. 7 grams to be exact. Turning 9100 rpms now. After trip to Canada, will see how belt holds up. So far, so good.

I just want to point out that you will not have to drop 7 grams on a Heavy Hitter weight by thunder. Yes the Daltons you will. Not saying either weight is better. 7 grams on a HH is like 12 grams on a Dalton.

No, I run Daltons weights. .
But back to the XS825 belt. I am so happy I tried it and went to it. Yes, it requires way less weight than you are used to running up front, and requires many miles on it before it wears enough to settle in for RPM. I can reduce the pinch in the secondary HUGE compared to the Yamaha belts, I never thought I'd be able to run the big tunes on the trail with success until now.
It has made all the difference in the world for me on getting the consistency and reliability I've been looking for, well the belt and going to the RX-1 primary clutch to keep rollers in the primary as well.
