Dalton black teal primary
Empty DYTA-1 weights
Dalton black orange secondary at 80 degrees.
XS-825
TD MS 17, CAI, BOV 3" exhaust.
This thing is an animal. 9k every time. Belts grip is insane. Cool clutches every time I check. It used to slip constantly when cruising above 70. Now I can hold it at any speed I want and it just grips and rips. Couldn't be happier with it now.

I have magnaforce weights, not Daltons. Had 80 grams for 255 hp and 8JP would last about 1000 miles. Hoping with less weight, like others on here belts will last a little longer.I just want to point out that you will not have to drop 7 grams on a Heavy Hitter weight by thunder. Yes the Daltons you will. Not saying either weight is better. 7 grams on a HH is like 12 grams on a Dalton.

How much boost are you getting? You are running the same tune as I am but I can only get about 16.5lbs boost. I am running the same weights as you but with the 8jp belt seeing 9200 rpm which I know is high and I am putting in the 1/4" slugs to get the RPM down. I was told by TD should be getting 17.8lbs boost. I have tested the system for boost leaks but brought it up over 20lbs with no apparent leaks. You have me thinking of switching to XS-825 and leaving the weights empty.

Another few hundred miles on it the last couple days. No issues. Finally running perfect. It's crazy how smooth and easy it is to cruise at over 90 mph now.

I'd agree, I'm amazed on how great the xs825 is compared to any of the Yamaha belts. I finally have the great running machine I was looking for all along. It only took years to get it there, and without the XS825 belt, forget about it on the big tunes.
Now I hope we get our snow back!

I do not. I never had them empty with the 8JP. I set them up according to the chart TD posted on here and ran it like that. Never had time to test the last couple years. Only riding time I had was when I traveled over 8 hours away and was always with a group that wasn't as obsessed with speed as I was. I can only tell you it wouldn't go over 116 on GPS and it was always slipping when cruising at high speeds. Now the throttle feels connected to the track and it will pull to the one teens quick and in good conditions will run well into the 120s.Do you know what RPM you were running with empty weights and the stock 8jp belt?
