Yamaha Cutting Production for 2019

One thing is for certain, with the SW being their flagship in the neighborhood of 200 hp and the Apex out of the lineup, there is a big HP gap between the SW and Viper. Ski Doo just dropped the 150 hp 900 ACE turbo that fits close to the slot where the Apex was. I kind of hope Yamaha has a new machine and chassis in the 150-160 hp window.

The 847 cc 4s twin has been mentioned. Maybe that with a turbo would fit the bill....:dunno:

880 2s in a new chassis to compete with skidoo 850 and Polaris 860 is what I’m hoping for.

I believe that Arctic Cat has been sitting on some technologies that their past financial situation did not allow them to bring to market. Cats ideas are usually really good, its the execution and materials that usually let them down.

As I said earlier in 1 of my post, I believe you will see a 850 4 stroke in a new chassis.

wonder the weight difference between the 847 and 998 is??hmmm

And on the Cat sites, they are talking about the Textron 850 engine (http://www.textronmotors.com/Home/Products/Snow) rated between 70 and 130hp.

Do you think both AC and Yam could release different 4 stroke 850's on the same platform the same year.

That's interesting, looks like something Textron or Yamaha would make. the copyrights on that page is 2018
I just cant understand why the sled look like a Polaris, and not sure that will make pleasing sound at WFO!

Fusions..... talk about a blast from the past if you owned the 600 version.

Not the Yamaha way, but what if they really wanted to Troll Skidoo. Feed the 847 a full bar (14.7psi) and market it as “The 850 that makes 165hp anywhere”

Well with that teaser it looks like something for the mountains. Which brings that single rail suspension into play!
