You read my mind. I was thinking today that the top brass at Polaris should be contacting Yamaha to see if they would supply them with that engine package. Would be a great sled and it would really be a shame to not have the 998 Turbo available from anyone after 2025.Ther
There has been rumors of 998t in the Matryx chassis. I would prefer that honestly. As a 850 xcr is my next move I have 0 interest in a turbo 2smoke time bomb that requires huge investment at stock levels every few thousand miles. Boosted to run with our sidewinder trail sleds would give them a 1500-2000mi lifespan I am sure. Don’t feel like a 3k rebuild on a sled you paid 25-27k(us) for and then put 5-8k in to get to sidewinder power levels.
I thought this partnership was telegraphed for the past couple years. Only one question remains...... What do we call them? Yamapoles?

Other thing, Polaris owns timbered, yz 450f is badass a would be good candidate for Polaris and Yamaha to partner a release a true snow bike from factory. You read my mind. Haha. Back to the drawing board!Sounds like some country in Europe.
Ok, in keeping with the times let's go with YamaPoo! Although this would be a marketing nightmare aka Yamaha #*$&@. It kinda has a nice ring to it!

Buddy of mine purchased a new MATRYX Boost. His thought on the chassis is this:
"If you think the Procross chassis is junk, you should see the Polaris."
No possible ways to cheapen/lighten things up have been missed.
He believes durability will be compromised and expects it to be a throwaway sled.
Hmmm.....I ain't got money for that. Lol.

What some guys called their old hybrid race sleds back in the day.
Well I've been saying for years the kitty skid is the best. Whether you agree or not. I for one will miss the durability.

Can't release a true snow bike in a 450 due to noise levels. At least that was the problem with the initial cat snow bike.Other thing, Polaris owns timbered, yz 450f is badass a would be good candidate for Polaris and Yamaha to partner a release a true snow bike from factory.

Yes i own a matrix boost, and Nitro there is NOWAY that flimsy poo chassis will hold up over time to the BRUTE force of the yammy triple...without major rethinking of chassis strength.Buddy of mine purchased a new MATRYX Boost. His thought on the chassis is this:
