SUPER, please take a look at my question a few post's back. I'm still a little "hazy" about the evac thing. See if maybe you can help clear some things up for myself and a few others that seem to be in the same situation.
BTW-your kit makes my '05 rock, even with the stock clutching.
Thanks
Yamanator, What year RX do you have?? I had the exact same problem in my '03, be going 60-70 down a road or trail and all of a sudden popping and flames shooting out of the exhaust. I'd shut it down for a few minutes and it would run fine for a while and then happen again. It ended up being a...
Two of the guy's I ride with have Fusions and neither have overheated yet this year. I shut it down as soon as the light comes on and unfortunetely sometimes there isn't even any "fluff" too get into. There have been a lot of rock solid high banks on some of the trails and most of the roads...
I realize this has been addressed previously and the solution has been to add a rear cooler... I was just wondering if there would be any chance that the '06 radiator system can be retrofitted on the '05 sled. It sounds like a bulletproof solution. The rear cooler still might not be enough...
I'm with Yamablue... I'm a little confused. I also have Dynarex's kit and it seems to work fine. I drain it a few times during trips (depending on length) and I get the same milky white residue. At worst I take it off the next morning and knock dump out the now frozen residue. I've never had it...
I actually had the Primary on my '03 replaced because it had such a deep groove in it. I had the extended warranty so I figured I might as well use it. They never even questioned it..
I was told by my dealer that it was made from rubber to help with vibration..... Sure hope it will look better with a little Armour All or it's equal on it.
Mine came in over a month and a half ago and my dealer is relatively new to Yamaha, they just added the line two years ago to go along with thier Polaris line.
They only had about 10 to 15 total pre-season Yammi orders this year so
I guess they would be considered small.
It may have more to...
Mag you mean the duct tape and super glue i had holding that thing together when you picked up didn't come off?? :tg:
Actually those times aren't too bad for that, it was terrible in the snow with the horrible track that was on it. The clutching changes where minimal at best...
Freddie, Are you going to run Paul's "NEW" black '03??
It's my old sled he bought and picked up last Sunday. He mentioned he had just been with you the previous day. I will be curious to see how the stocker runs.. (mine or not).
He also told me his plans for the sled if everything goes...
For those who have installed the ECP kit, What have you done with the rubber flap that "protects" the tops of the plugs. I like how it looks but since it is attached to the air box I took it off. I know I've seen a few pictures with it still on. Did you guys just fabricate something or is there...
I'll second Wonder's assesment of Scott Bergstrom. I also bought a set off him and have had a few phone conversations with him about the different options.
Actually taked to him today about a problem with my Triple point carbides and my new '05. I mentioned that I was going to the Syracuse...
"How do you figure that on option 1 the predyno is free when the total price is $860? Sounds like a marketing trick to me."
LB... How about just posting your question without the nasty attack. :o|
I forgot you have already installed this exact kit and know just what it takes to do, right...
Just was wondering if there is any reason for waiting to "break in" the new RX before installing a clutch kit??
Will the characteristics of the sled change as the initial mileage starts piling up enough to alter how the clutch kit functions. (ie: rpm's usually increase slightly as the motor...
Thanks Might & Blue.... I'm probably go down tommaro and tell them to go ahead with the 1.325"
Any other thoughts/input from anyone as far as the "soft tip" theory they have and using 1.175 " studs.
Thanks
Not to keep beating this subject to death but I asked my dealer to call before he studs my new '05 to let me know what they where going to do and they feel that they can't put any bigger than 1.175 ". :o|
They had just finished another RX1 and DON'T feel that 1.325 " will fit without...
