I have done the same thing, works great, my bed is 6' but still used an 8' sheet and hinged it so the tailgate can be closed when not in use.

Fuel is not an issue with me either, yes a bigger tank would be nice, have to wait a couple of seasons to see how it all plays out, I love my XTX. I have a couple of buddies that have the new cat chassis and for me it is not that comfy. Bought the Yamaha for quality not sure I could ride a hybrid.

Yes that picture was taken before the turnout was put on, and yes I did put on some heat tape just in case but it works just fine.

Congrats on the new ride, got mine last year and just love it, I have not experienced any of the handling issues but I am going to change out the ski's. I have been riding Doo's for a long time as I was a dealer but just love the Nytro. :Rockon:

I am in the biz and just looked it up and before options like trolling motor and fish finder and whatever else it might have the avg price comes out to $8760. I know you guy's up there pay alot more for things than we do, it might be a touch high. Good luck.
