I meant racing on the lakeHuh? You think. I've always expected more further northwest near Mercer, as that area still gets a good shot of lake effect.
Been so spotty the last 10yrs, idk.

Yes n would get lake effect and I used to go to Bents camp for years when my wife’s family owned it and can remember plenty of years where there was no snow in eagle river and rideable snow in land o

I happen to be on vacation the week of Christmas. Go back to work on the 3rd.Can't make it Christmas week. If you decide to head up the week after New years and snow was decent (cuz I'd ride there from lando) I'd be down for that.

You're the guy that told me that. (Wife's family) lol. This is the only way I recognize climate change. Snow keeps pushing further north the last 30+yrs. Which is really sad. Minoqua, St.Germain.. Abundance of snow by Dec trail opening. Blink Bonnies was always a fav stop for dinner.I meant racing on the lake

Yeah, I figured. If I go, I'm going to take some heat & wouldn't know till last minute, I call it pre-damage control. that's why I'm calling it a no go. Hahaha. First you'd have the prefight, then the "during the event" fight. Following up with the "after party" fight Why put your health in Jeopardy. Lol.I happen to be on vacation the week of Christmas. Go back to work on the 3rd.

From what I've observed over the last few weeks, Im thinking...... if JT put as much time tuning his sled, as he does posting on the internet, no one would stand a chance!! Lol
Just kidding Bud ......we definitely all need snow!!! Lol

This last one stung quite a bit, fleecer. Probably even more than Knapp's comment about me getting schooled. Maybe josh will consider this and show some mercy. Especially the on/off throttle one. I'll be slowing down a bit, as riding season approaches.
Great group & very thankful for being a part of it.

Trailleader, do you happen to know how long you can run Belvidere? Assuming you can extend the 660' spot, and still have time to brake. Didn't feel like maneuvering those those pine trees at speed. Lol.
I'm assuming it's 660', could be less.

I'll stop Friday and get an ice report on Lake Gogebic when I drive over to Ironwood for the snowcross races.

Right on. I hooked up with a Vilas county fishing page. Hahaha..I'm desperate.I'll stop Friday and get an ice report on Lake Gogebic when I drive over to Ironwood for the snowcross races.
Those guys are saying ice is Appx 2-3" thick. I figured they're rolling out sleds with ice shanties and all their gear. Gotta be over 1000lbs. They're not out yet. Ice there isn't safe.

I didn’t bitch or moan about anything. Just saying you wanna run race gas to race gas or daily driver to daily driver. When you walk out of a bar or sled pulls up and you smell race gas from a boost you know it can be significantly higher than 20 hp… don’t smell race gas you know it’s not more than 20hp more than stock.I run trail studs
Should I complain
you have a tune
Not fair lol
This is hilarious
Just put in good gas and get rid of excuses and crying
I had chisels here
Sled with circle is a big gap turbo
That’s a long way out to have the boost next to it
Carry on fellas lmao

I think it’s great the 998 may finally have some competition on the lake, however if you want apples to apples as a trai rider and owner, I’d never own a turbo 2 stroke as longevity would be slim for my comfort and the power achieved on high 90 (90.7+-) octane fuel is not there where it is on a sidewinder. The ease of tuning and building a sidewinder is there and ability to make it competitive or dominant at grudge events on the lake on your way home or in middle of a 150-200mile day on the trails is there too.

I think that's the Winder in a nutshell. To be able to show up at the local snow drags on the weekend and be competitive, head out on a trail ride during the week hitting random fuel stop and at the end of the day unleash 300hp on the lake heading to the barn all with the same sled and setup is beyond belief! But on a tuned Winder its reality...crazy.The ease of tuning and building a sidewinder is there and ability to make it competitive or dominant at grudge events on the lake on your way home or in middle of a 150-200mile day on the trails is there too.

Trailleader has something to prove. We challenged him last year with his videos and the sleds specific ability to 660', and I for one feel that's all it could do. To his credit he accomplished the goal of an extremely fast 660' sled.I didn’t bitch or moan about anything. Just saying you wanna run race gas to race gas or daily driver to daily driver. When you walk out of a bar or sled pulls up and you smell race gas from a boost you know it can be significantly higher than 20 hp… don’t smell race gas you know it’s not more than 20hp more than stock.

This year he stepped up his game. Lol.
He will not bring a trail sled out with me fill it up with pump gas and compete with me. I'm 100% ok with that.
What he will do, is absolutely destroy me at any level in terms of raw acceleration. But, I don't see any other members willing to play. Pride and ego keeps them on the porch.
He won't be playing the on-off throttle, let me get ahead and then stab it while he's behind. As he doesn't have enough power nor is the distance there.
As far as being schooled? That's not going to happen either. Being schooled is more or less about being lied to. He don't have game for that.
A fully ported Big bore (909cc) running 9 lb of boost. Either meth injected or intercooled will show up.
Not afraid even a little....

You BETTER be on your best set up if your going to F around on little saint with that crew. I have not participated but i think I know a few of the crew and they have some fast iron. I believe a few ran at bents last year. As far as the boost goes if I had to guess he has it "ready this year" maybe different parts then last year? Guessing

I have seen a very well setup N/A 850 Polaris that was very quick and impressive in 660' so I have no doubt a very well setup and tuned++ Boost would be an absolute rocket in 660 - 1000'
