RTX not to stiff for me. Im about 225 no gear. So far suspension feels like I have room to adjust either way. Thats good news as I had to by fat boy springs for my 04 renegade X. Sled flys very flat when jumping. Power seems to be getting better but hard to judge since driving on little to no base. At 75miles one bar left on fuel gauge. Filled up at 80 miles, 6.9 gallons at pump. Sled is very quiet at max RPM. Almost no engine sound at 8400rpm compared to 2 smoke. Do not like handle bars at this time. Wish they were 1.5" wider each side and straighter. My hands seem to want to rest at outer curve of bars. This doesnt feel right for me but will give it some miles to know for sure. :exc:

How big is the gas tank on the rtx,i was thinking it was 7.5 if thats the case, you were almost out of fuel,so how did she go,sweet i hope, but i was hoping for better milage than 11.5 but it will most likely get better with break in. Fuel tank is 7.4ish gallons. I didnt do any what i would call trail miles. I think on the trail and with a more break-in we should see an easy 100+. I noticed today that there was alot of white strings hanging off side of track that were 1/8 to 1" long. Not real concerned at this time. I burned them all back with a propane torch. Sled hauls to 90 when it hooks up but I didnt have much base.

I thought the gas tank was 7.2 gallons. In minnesota here we have about 1/8 to 1/4 inch of ice on top of about 4 inches of snow. I took this afternoon off from work and went riding. Yesterday afternoon when I ran my first tank of gas through I got between 12-13 mpg. Today on tank #2 I'm averaging 16. I seemed to be on the gas alot more today as well using the full range of power well into 80mph at times. Yesterday I went 70 on 3 quarter of a tank and today I went another 65-70 on 1/2 a tank. Is anyone else noticing better mileage. I'm sure It will use more gas once we get some decent snow.
