^^ We had that exact Enticer as kids, and my dad had that Exact SRV! Brings back good memories.

If bringing back vintage name plates didn't arouse amazing memories, the OEM's would never do it. This is working in the automotive world and will work in the powersports industry as well. It's one of the few ways to get current owners to crack open the wallets.

I was dead set on not buying a sidewinder, then the SRX came out and my emotions almost got me. The price tag killed it for me, and that's a good thing. I have no need to spend 3x my average sled budget on nostalgia.

That's the crazy part about these flashback sleds, they really have been figuring out just what the consumer will spend on nostalgia. And keep in mind, if they do bring back an All-Yamaha two stroke with a vintage name, you know it will be a spring order only boutique sled with a hefty price tag. And every one of you suckers are gonna dig deep and decide just how much you can get by the old lady to get one. Too many have been waiting too many years for an all Yamaha two stroke. They could literally ask whatever they want for it, as the hype level is just that high.

Meanwhile, I will be snatching up a lightly used SRX for half price and save more than enough to put a proper pre-studded track on it.

I have no interest in 2s only 4s for me. 998 NA in a procross with eps would be interesting but the shoehorned solution better be good big wind screen, comfortable seat with bag storage, nice pod and adjustable on the fly rear suspension. I would bite on a sled like that at $12k mostly because of the 998 NA.

I like Larry, and he has brought attention to the sport. I do doubt it's the kind of attention an OEM would like to bring to a model release. He's a wildcard. It's like saying I want to use trump to endorse the new Big Mac, not knowing what he may say about it on Twitter the minute he leaves the promo set.

If Trump endorsed the Big Mac. Wouldn't that be a demotion? Wouldn't he become Mayor Mc Cheese?

Not if its an Arctic Cat engine in an AC chassis. Theres alot of people who consider those sleds NOT Yamahas. It takes alot more thsn stickers to fool some of us. The Sidewinder section on TY looks like a damn Poo forum with all the problems. And.....using the SRX, Enticer, Brovo, or SRV name on anything other than a pure Japan built sled is not only lame, but just wrong. Marketing gimmick at best

never thought of a new Enticer, you could hit 2 markets with that, a modern "340 class" shorty trail sled and an long track "LT III" for the light work/fishing guys.

Ya gotta love those oldies! I especially like the 160mph speedo!
Real dreamometer there for sure. Not sure it could reach that dropping it off a cliff.

I can't imagine it would, as there is only one SXS with a Yamaha engine. And my guess is Tracker may only want ATV's.

This is where the details of a Supplier Agreement and a Partnership are different. Yamaha may have very little say in how AC/Textron distributes their product. And if they did, it would only be the products that they share together. Yamaha powered sleds and the Wildcat XX. At that point, Yamaha would have issue if it directly competed with their sled lines, or the YXZ SXS. Either way, Yamaha comes out ahead, so encouraging them to do so would be obvious.

I could very well be wrong, but this is not a bad business model by Yamaha or Textron. If Tracker only buys Tracker branded ATVs, my guess is there will not be like AC inventory sent to AC dealers where the MFG needs to give rebates, and incentives to move inventory. Or offer a buy back of unsold inventory like they do with their own product. And then blow out at a volume dealer like Country Cat.

My guess is what Bass Pro orders, it's up to them to distribute, sell or discount as needed. And AC washes their hands of the cost of inventory once shipped. Same goes with Yamaha on the AC branded sleds or Wildcat XX. What engines AC orders, Yamaha can wash their hands of that cost of inventory once it hits the plant. This would be indicative of a supplier agreement over a partnership where they are tied together till the bitter end and the customer takes delivery of the product.

I'd like a fan cooled 4 stroke enticer.

No interest in 2 stroke.
Yep! Take a revamped ovation and rework the struts with todays technology and an updated rear suspension. Power it with one of the many 4 stroke engines you have on the shelf and that's it! Simple, durable, fun, and cheap!

Well we are getting closer so I'll speculate freely
1 Yamaha chassie with
New 2stroke (mountain max (or alpha and bng))
Phazern engine with supercharger (600 class)
Sidewinder engine
1 cylinder bravo class
