Aftermarket clutch weight testing from this weekend

That's the top gear I want, where did you find it?
Scott taylor has been making them since cat starting putting sintered gears in the procross. There all hyvo with life time warranty. Bought a few sets from him over the last 5 years. I just went with the top gear since it seems the chain is hyvo on the sidewinder. He has holes built into his for getting oil on that bushing that wears out so fast on that top gear. 815-979-3428.

Is there some guidelines on how to load the thunder arms that come with them to get me close. I should have the kit next week. I have a stage 3 Evo tune in and muffler. I have OSP weights in now and there also maxed out loaded. Have 22 tooth gear on its way.
with the kit ,lonn will set them up for a stk . sw .for you add the extra 1/4" allen under the 3/4" allen ,i'd go 1.5 gms more in the middle ,and 1.5gms more on the tip to start .seeing you have more hp than stk.

I did a setup that worked awesome with the stage 3 Thunder Products weights
1/4 allen under the 3/4 allen in heel - total 1 inch (just like krm mentioned)
3/8 steel in middle
7/16 steel with 1 thin washer in tip

So to sum it up. Stock LTX SE, air filter in place, 1/4 & 3/4 allen, add 2 thin washers in the middle and 2 thin washers in the tip. I'm 200 lbs.
correct .the kit comes set up just add the extra you have noted

Whats the base weight on the Thunder products weights for the sidewinder? I scrolled through and didn't see anything.

it's like 66.3 gms with alot softer spring .the ramp it self i think is 58gm but comes set up you need to fine tune ..i posted what works .

Thanks. I was just wondering the base ramp weight. I've got several sets of heavy hitters I wanted to try in my Turbo Viper but none that heavy. Is it a new ramp design or the same old profile just heavier.

With your older weights try to get to 72-74g with tip weighted heavy and you should be good for 6-7 lbs boost. Same profile just heavier. Thunder products also has tungsten washers you can get that are 3.4 or 5.3 gram which will help.

I have a lightly used Big Venom clutch kit for a turbo Viper I would like to sell......$225 shipped

Did you ever get a chance to test Hurricanes clutch weights that claim to make it feel like you,re getting 20 extra HP at the track ?

After a nice weekend of more testing....here is my update after 624 miles on the sled now....

EVO Stage 4, 50/50 premium and race fuel. 11.1-11.3 Afr's
Thunder Products SW kit with more weight for the EVO Stage 4 Tune. 9,000-9,300 rpm depending on snow conditions.
Skis wouldn't touch the snow till after 126mph.
Catwalk like no tomorrow....snow flap is permanently deformed.
8JP belt looks like new
Black Marker mark measures about .200"
Clutches are luke warm, pull after pull.
No belt dust on outside of panel and only a little inside the panel.
Not much belt dust at all (See pics)
(no machining yet)
