That is what I have,EVO states 14.7lbs I am getting ready to mount up a boost gauge,hopefully it reads 14.7 or better.

Hi Terry,i am now waiting on the coso boost/af gauge like you have,i like that it can lay flat on velcrow and dosent stand out as a go fast product to a warden,if stopped lol,you had told me earlier that your gauge read 1 psi higher than it should,and you may have had a fix,did you find the fix? Also does this gauge read low,say down to 5psi or so? Lots of the cheaer ones seem to start at 14 to 35,i want to see when and what comes on when!
 
Heavy hitter weight setup was spot on with the new secondary orange spring. Engagement for me was 2,650 - 2,800 with a top rpm of 9,000 - 9,050

Trail to Copper Harbor in sections was nice and flat, speeds up to 128 on the speedo before backing off.

Sled is a monster
Terry,will top rpms of 9000-91000 be ok with my EVO-4 and CAI? Running loans orange front and orange secondary,with STM weights loaded to 80 with stock 35 at 60 degrees,with STM rollers,and 22/41 gears on a 137 ltx

Yes, 9,000 is a good number to be at for top end pull. 9,100 is ok if it goes to that and then comes down to 9,000

Watch your AFR's to make sure you aren't in the 12's with the cold air intake.

The gauge reads all the way down to less than 1 psi

Ok so I’ve skimmed through. What clutching set up have we landed on forca 129 sidewinder box stock everything. All tuning I see is for reflashed sleds
 
LOL! Sorry, don't take this personally, but...... it's not one size fits all. Don't go buying something on recommendations unless you're fine tuning a clutch that's almost there.
There are so many variables to consider. You're going to get a million different answers that most likely won't apply to you're particular needs.

If you want to know my set up PM me and i can let you know what i'm running and based on my weight, tune and riding style you can decide for yourself if it's useful info.
 
I def get that. However for majority you can have a pretty close set up and let the person fine tune the weights and spring preloads to get what you want. But most are set and forget type of people. I’ll pm you and talk more tho.
 
I agree totally with what fatchance said above, that it's pretty tough to find a one size fits all clutching set up.

That being said I thought that I would share my clutch set up from my '17 SW LTX-LE (137") track that I posted last season with a bone stock motor and exhaust that I've fine tuned over the last two seasons:

Primary Clutch:

Spring: Ulmer Blue dot low engagement spring with 20 kg. preload. Engagement speed approx. 2800 rpm
Weights: STM 60 YS from Ulmer Racing
Weight set up: Heel: 2 washers, Mid: empty, Tip: Tungsten insert
Rollers: Stock Yamaha 14.5mm
Secondary Clutch:
Spring: Dalton Black/Orange
Spring Wrap: 3-3
Helix: Dalton Reverse Angle 32-36
Rollers: Updated Yamaha OEM
Offset: 60.1mm
Belt: Yamaha OEM 8JP
Gearing: Yamaha OEM 21/41
Track: Camso Storm 150 with 1.5" lugs, no studs in track.
Skis: SLP Mohawk with 6" carbide
SW Model: 2017 SW LT-X LE
Most Common Riding Conditions: Keweenaw area of the western UP of MI. Variety of snow conditions ranging from hard pack to sugary to fresh powder snow.
Misc. Comments: This clutch set up has been just what I've been looking for to handle a wide variety of snow and trail conditions that I ride in. It has a nice and soft engagement speed yet gives outstanding low end and mid range pull. The sled will upshift with no spikes in rpm, just a nice steady climb to top rpms with a very linear pull. The gas mileage has been approx. 15 mpg in the 547 miles that I was able to test this set up last week. I haven't been able to test the actual belt or clutch temps other than the scientific method of touching them, but both clutches and belt have been cool to the touch with minimal belt wear/belt dust. I have 1112 miles so far on the stock Yamaha 8JP belt and it has worn approx. .1mm so far. This clutch set up has been a great improvement for me over the stock set up and seems to have gained quite a bit of low end grunt out of the corners that makes the sled a lot more fun to drive.

The new Camso Storm 150 track is a perfect match to the performance level of the SW and performs great in a wide variety of snow and trail conditions. The SLP Mohawk skis I feel are the most significant upgrade to the handling of the SW. With proper suspension set up these skis will absolutely make sure that the sled goes where you point in any snow conditions and will not dart in any conditions that I have encountered, all with a very light steering effort. I'm not a very big guy and even after a 200+ mile day this past week I was ready to hit the trail again the next day without any hesitation.
