6/12/05 at ESTA dragstrip. This was my first time out at this track and made some more imporvements. Added one set of wheels to the skid durring the week that seemed to help out. High humidity and temps again today. Track temp this afternoon was 110+.
run 1 (spun)
60' - 1.57
1/8 - 7.12 @ 93.17
1/4 - 11.51 @ 108.99
run 2 (spun again)
60' - 1.54
1/8 - 7.06 @ 94.30
1/4 - 11.42 @ 110.35
run 3
60' - 1.51
1/8 - 6.98 @ 94.90
1/4 - 11.31 @ 111.11
Eliminations....lost in second round by .08. No redlights today, making progress.
Round 1 (sled hopped off the line)
60' - 1.55
1/8 - 7.04 @ 94.11
1/4 - 11.39 @ 110.56
Round 2 (sled hopped off the line again)
60' - 1.55
1/8 - 7.04 @ 94.70
1/4 - 11.37 @ 111.10
The sled is hooking up good now with close to 1.4 60' times (not bad for a stock skid). Once I get the track hop taken care of I should be running much better. Still no clutching changes, only working with the rear end.

I should try to loose some too. Other than sweating off 5lbs at the track that is. All my times are with a 6' 2", 225lb driver. :exc:

hlmrx1: You've got some work to do. You should be running in the mid to low 6's in 660. Is that your goal?
Good luck and thanks for sharing your progress

I know I should be running around the mid 6’s, last year I ran an average of 7.18 out of 100 passes and a best time of 6.86 in the 8th mile. I couldn’t believe it that I hadn’t increased my ET’s with this setup although my speed has, it’s more than I ever ran in the ¼ mile stock. The difference this year is the turbo, a little different clutching to accommodate the difference in horsepower and I managed to squat the thing down a little more with srx shocks in the skid. I also added a couple of wheels. The front isn’t squatted down yet, RX1 shocks still, and I think I won’t change them until the next time I run. I’ll do one pass with them on, then swap them out and see what changes.
This track was an airport strip that is setup once a year, so the preparation etc. wasn’t that great, although you have to give these guys credit, they did a fantastic job for what they have. We’ve had so much rain that the water was seeping through the cracks by mid day. Everyone was complaining about hookup. Anyway, I hope that’s all it was and hope to get some runs in at a real track soon so I can tell what this thing has. My buddies ZRT800 was getting better 60’ all day and came within .011 of my best ET of the weekend. Mine was spinning half way down the track before I could hook up. I could maybe use a different asphalt track, this one may be too hard. I believe my buddies track is different. I may need to replace it this year sometime, man I'm going to need some sponsors, this is getting expensive!!!!!
Hey Terry have you tried the 26 tooth gear yet???
