Asphalt Results 2005

Well, Started out bad, with rain off and on, and the x-mas tree not working. Thought the race would be cancelled, but it dried up, and they fixed the computer. This race track was hit by lightning twice in the last 2 weeks!

W.I.R. Saturday 6/25/05 - Temp was 81, with 68% humidity. Temp went down to 72, but the humidity was pegged!

READY?

1st time run
1.486 60ft. - 6.800 1/8mile @ 97.982mph - 10.973 1/4mile @ 114.338mph

2nd time run (drifted, and spun a little bit)
1.493 60ft. - 6.831 1/8mile @ 96.958mph - 11.018 1/4mile @ 114.462mph

1st round - (backed off slightly, to not break out. This would have been a 10.98 run by the 1/8mile time) dialed 11.01
1.484 60ft. - 6.812 1/8mile @ 97.563mph - 11.069 1/4mile @ 110.905mph
Won 1st round, other guy broke out - went to quick

2nd round - (spun off line, and couldn't run the number)
1.510 60ft. - 6.839 1/8mile @ 97.681mph - 11.038 1/4mile @ 112.861mph
Lost 2nd round

Well we have 10's!

Good job Terry.

Here's my day at ESTA. Temps were in the low 90's, moderate humidity, track temp around noon was 122. Played with the secondary a little, and suspension.

run 1
60' -- 1.549
1/8 -- 7.016 @ 95.54
1/4 -- 11.361 @ 109.97

run 2 (10* more twist)
60' -- 1.594
1/8 -- 7.060 @ 94.69
1/4 -- 11.41 @ 109.94

run 3 (10* less twist)
60' -- 1.577
1/8 -- 7.013 @ 95.56
1/4 -- 11.303 @ 111.64

Round 1
good RT, on the breaks at the end so not to break out, win.

Round 1 (again, tree didn't work right)
good RT, on the breaks again, won (again) by .0008

Round 2
good RT, but took off for the 60' timers and had to lift. Good mph still, but was off 3 tenths on the dial in.

Got some changes to make this week, suspension to help the 60', and some others. Overall it was a tough day at the track. There were 4 engine failures (one guy got 2), and a handful of bearing failures in various rear skids.

Great Job, Terry Buddy. I was up ATVing in Hurley....just got the message and I will call you this week. I am still planning on the Street Drag Night....

Tom remember your still welcome to use my sled.Let me know before mid week so I can make arrangements.Ryan

Thanks guys, I owe to everybody when I say "THANKS"

Ryan - When are you leaving?

Tom, looks like good weather for this Friday.

Terry you need to let Ryan run your sled down the track and see what the weight difference translates to.

What's the word on the standard chain case cover?

Great job Terry! There's room for some more improvement yet!

Ryan ran my sled next to an Arctic Cat 700 with clutching. Ryan gave the guy 12 car lengths, and still waxed him. There was no time slip, cause of the Real street drag night, and the 12 length difference.

I am going to get a cover from Allen, if I can.

Ran my best numbers at Interstate Dragways, Moorhead MN on 6-25 with my 2000 SRX. 60ft--1.358, 1/8--6.353@102.51, 1/4--10.294@121.59. Don, are you coming down for the Bracket Bash over the 4th?

Terry I'm leaving after work friday. If you know anyone that wants to run my sled there welcome too.
