he's top notch (user id ptt)
The setup part we got covered....and I don't think ptt would be too eager to send me a set for the price I'd like to pay lol.

You clearly don't understand the extent of my thriftiness lol. Small team...small budget....Now, if Thunderpro wants to buy a piece of the hood....lol

I got to try my drag&fly kit today and so far it seems to work really good.I was running a proline kit last year.Engagement is lower and the rpms on the trail are lower than the proline kit.But the d&f really make the sled move at trail speed any hole or bump just blip the gas and it picks up the nose or it just jumps over it.I got the same topend on the river with the d&f kit as I did with the proline. All we have on the river is some bare ice and soft snow.Pulled 121 on the meter, last year I could get 127 on really good hardpack.Just have poor conditions right now.
Still have some fine tuning to do yet.
Ran 3.2 in shoulder 5 in center and 3.2 in the overdrive.White primary spring and stock helix and spring 3 3 twist.
Going to try my proline helix and see how that goes.

Can we FX Nytro guys run the 60g D&F? Sounds alittle heavy for the 1050cc? Had the original HC on my ported/piped etc SX -97 and on the trail they were great but they lacked topend.. If i made them go great on top end they lost alttle on the trail and so on.. I blew them up when my clutch exploded so I havent got them no more
Had the Supertips on my vector and they were great, has anyone tried those 2 weights and compared them with the D&F??

3mph slower than what? 117.4mph or 127.9mph? Remember TWO things...
I have 23-38 gears, with NOS, it ran 127.9 in 2000 feet...was topped out at 1500 easily.
WITHOUT NOS it was revs 10200 and ran 117.4 in 2000 feet.....you do the math!!

How big of a shot are you throwing at it to have to underrev 500-800 RPM when not on the bottle? I ran 123 in 2500 ft with 40/24 gearing (basically the same ratio as 38/23) at 10700 with overdrive machining, stock ride height, and trail traction.
Stock gearing (38/24) would give you lots more top in my estimation. Have you ever tried stock gears in that distance with the bottle? It would be interesting to try out.

It revs 11000 on the nitrous. HOLTZMAN MAKES POWER! It was going 127 in 1500 feet easily. It was outta gear.
We tested this in the summer. Stone (Ernie) was able to run 132mph in 1320' with 24-38 gear and 136+ with 25-38 gears. No matter what he did with ET, he always ran 132 with the 24 gear and 136+ with the 25t.
Perhaps I could have run 123mph in 2500 feet with my 23-38 gears REVVING 10200!!
BBY2000, I am lazy. I should have changed out my 23t and put the 24t back in at the radar runs last winter. But you know how much fun it is to change, and my pit crew (Harmony) spent her day riding around the lake!!
It ran 127._ on every run!!! Topped out! I was happy with that, as Bondi's MachZ on nitrous best was 125.5mph!! An F1200 with NOS and with speed track and steel piks ran 130mph. I guess I did fine!

I hear you on the changing gears at an event. No fun. Hell yes, you are doing good for that gearing and Im sure you are out of gear, especially on the bottle. Not that you dont already know, but I think you would have beat that F1200 if you were geared higher. Happy holidays.

Oh, how much NOS are you running?

87gtnos...
if you get a chance
p.m. me on the nitrous set up..
I've been thinking about one...but have little knowledge on them..
was hoping for a rear mounted bottle to keep weight from the front..

87 gt nos. I didn't know you where out of gearing. You should be able to gain alot more.
I was talking about bby sled had the stock rip saw, stock height, trail ,studs. There is another guys sled I know that is faster but the only reason is he had it lowered and a speed track.BlueByYou set up hauls but in drags and in speed.I would try to get some info out of him,If he will give it,lol

Oh, how much NOS are you running?
Yup, gear change in the Tcat took 10 minutes.....damn Apex is just too fragile to be swapping gears in a hurry, IMO!!!!!!
Oh, and approx 90hp with the Holtzman I suppose.
