Guys,

Ive been hanging around dootalk for most the last few seasons,I came over here earlier in season as my bud bought a new GT...After 816 miles on my new 06 mach z x,i came to the conclusion those things are ticking time bombs...Always worried about what would go wrong next, backordered parts and horror storys about engine failures....

So,as a joke i posted my sled for sale on thursday, and I sold it in one day, bought myself a new RTX on friday for 8500...threw on a predator 1 inch fully clipped track sat and today rode 100 miles...and WOW...unbeleivable is all i can say!....sweetest motor ive ever heard...smoothest sled ive ever rode(motor) and smoooth suspension!....

I couldnt be happier....I will be playing with suspension to reduce the skilift,i did ad BRP pilot skis as we did same to buds GT...they seem to work well.

Anyone with RTX,just wondering if you feel less or more skilift with floats lowered or increased....Also,wondering if anyone is running 13mm swaybars if that helps..any other handling tips id appreciate.

what a day!..we got 1 foot a fresh powder and the new RTX is amazing!...i havent felt this happy riding a sled since i was a kid...I no longer worry about blowing 150 dollar belts,or how long i hold the trigger to the bar...i never would ride that mach near as hard as i ride this rtx...the mach surely would have blow if i had.

one happy camper...feels 100 lbs lighter then any mach ive ever owned!

Welcome Machzed,

This weekend my brother who is also a 05 Mach Z owner is now going to jump ship and join Yamaha. He will be riding an ATTAK.

We just started out on Sunday morning about 10 miles from the house, when the PTO side piston burned down about 400 miles after the 06 update was performed.

He has over 5,000 miles on the sled. I thought he was doing pretty good, despite melting the side of his sled off twice last year, and having three cans replaced. :ORC

All of a sudden the ticking-time-bomb went KA-BOOM. I call it the BRP surprise package. You have to pay extra for that feature.

My brother was so P---- O--... he couldn't see straight. :o| :die

To add insult to injury the day before, on Saturday, my 05 RS Venture just rolled 9,000 miles. I towed him back using my official skidoo tow strap (my own design).

We all have had problems with sleds in some form or another, but Yamaha motors are the companys strong suit. ;)!

Enjoy your new RTX!

Dan, welcome aboard!!
Glad you like it!
This sled is not as fast as others, but is the most enjoyment I have had sledding in years. It hauls asz to 100mph!!
I cruised for 15kms at 95mph across Lake Rosseau on Saturday in fresh DEEP snow!! TRY THAT WITH A 2 STROKE!!

Welcome aboard Dan.

It seems like the less air pressure I use the better the sled handles. I'm about 235 lbs naked and I run my floats at 65 PSI (measured with sled elevated). I would also suggest lessening the transfer on the transfer rod. It should have come from the factory in the middle position. I have mine set at about another 1/8 inch towards minimum.

Welcome !!! Take some time to dial it in and It'll be the best sled you've ever had!!!!! Like others have said it may not be the fastest, but it is the best all around sled. also I have been riding for many years and have always been a little sore after a good days riding, but with the RTX I haven't been sore all season.............

Thanks ALL for taking in this longtime DOO guy...Nice to have a new home here on TY..Matt and I were totally ready to ride our machs this season and now we are both on new RTXs..what a bizarre turn of events!..

got it at Don Georges on Buffalo area.

thanks guys!!!
Dan
