The 999 motor in the Apex was a fantastic engine. But unless you are shorter than 5'6" that chassis is hard on the body.
The procross is so comfortable compared to the older sleds.
I have come off numerous 500+km days in norther PQ and felt great. After a day on the delta box I need a chiropractor.

Tottally opposite for Me, I'm 5'11" and 60 years young, 85 miles on my sidewinder and I was done for the weekend! 250 a day on my Apex and I'm ready for the next, walked past the sidewinder every weekend and rode my Apex, sold the sidewinder and now have 5 Apex's. Same goes for my wife and she is 5'2" she rode the sidewinder once for 62 miles and I couldn't get her back on it again, She now has over 21,000 miles on her second Apex. Happy wife happy life! The 999 motor in the Apex was a fantastic engine. But unless you are shorter than 5'6" that chassis is hard on the body.

My fiancé rides a 2012 Vector with power steering and loves it. I ride a tuned 17 Sidewinder LTX SE. We also have a 12 Apex XTX. I am 5' 10" and the Apex gives me a sore lower back after a day of riding. The Sidewinder does not. My fiancé has always said that she likes the seating position of her Vector better than the Sidewinder... but she is 5' 3" tall... and I have her Vector setup to ride like a couch for her and the EPS makes it steer like butter. We just bought a 2025 Sidewinder LTX LE EPS. It purchased because I want another Sidewinder once the 17 needs to be sold or retired to be a backup sled and there aren't any more to be made after the 2025 model year. Since the new 2025 has EPS, I hope she doesn't like it better than her Vector once she rides it or I may not get it back.Tottally opposite for Me, I'm 5'11" and 60 years young, 85 miles on my sidewinder and I was done for the weekend! 250 a day on my Apex and I'm ready for the next, walked past the sidewinder every weekend and rode my Apex, sold the sidewinder and now have 5 Apex's. Tuned winders don't scare.me one but, especially used ones.
You can tell within twenty minutes who the anal retentive ones are vs the ones that just slapped stuff on there.

I currently have an Apex, Viper and a Winder. Hands down I choose the Winder every time because of the improved comfort, ergonomics, power, handling and ride. Dont get me wrong the other two sleds have their uses but I choose the Winder. If you get a Winder that is 2021 or older just throw the Barn of Part mechanical power steering on it and you will be very happy.
