Absolutely love mine! 400 miles and not a single problem. Best of both worlds as I originally predicted when I snow-checked in March. Evrywhere I go, the Viper gets all the attention over all the other brands :sled1: :-o

I could not express how happy I am with my sled. Its actually gotten to the point of ticking people off. -20deg and smiling because the snow is still here. Coworkers have been calling me crazy and I was accused by my boss of having just snowmobiling on my mind. He was serious. Too bad.

It's kind of hard to reserch problems when you snow check one and no one has one. The sled rides great way better than any other yamaha, and engine is secound to none. What I'm saying is for almost $13,000 it ought to have the yamaha quaility we are all use to and not take twice as long to do the simple maintenance stuff

I would agree with that, every time I get gas or stop and eat people are asking what is that and do you like it and wow that's a great looking sled! Guys from all sides are asking. It's funny how many people have no clue about what cat and yami did. They don't even know what the Viper is. Everyone that has approached me has liked it and said it's sweet looking! :-o ;)!

I love it. Am thankful for this website tho. Might not have been as happy with it not getting the heads-up for things to check.

My first brand new sled. Plan on keeping it awhile.

I really like mine. Unfortunately I only have 40 miles on it, most of which just zipping around on the lake. Haven't had a lot of time to ride yet this season.

Agreed! I found this site from Google after buying a Viper for myself on Christmas. This is my first post but I've been touching base on the site every couple days and checking things out that people are saying, like the loose hose clamps, etc. Good stuff.

x2 on all those points. Really glad and thankful for those that have more miles posting about any potential issue so I can try and head it off at the pass.

850 miles, over all I like the sled! Rode 2014 doo xrs yesterday and wow does that thing HANDLE! the trails that I would have to stand up on my viper I would just easily haul thru those bumps sitting down on that xrs! I'm speechless!

26 Vipers sold from Pat's Yamaha, 1 small issue and lots of miles already... very happy with their Vipers....That was right from Kip and Pat.

I know I can't add that to the count, but would be nice.

my buddy and i both have ltx. His is the standard mine is the SE. we both like them alot. he has over 500 miles on his and i have 270 on mine. no issues, except the occsional hot starting. what usally works for us is to just touch the throttle and fires right up. going to do oil, filter, chain and genral look over this weekend. we both came off of apex's.

Should have bought XTX with Fox Floats then. Rides the rough stuff ESPECIALLY trails and roads much better than DOO (2013 Doo owner even admitted after riding)

WAIT! Did you soften your suspension after getting from Dealer? They come stiff as a brick, I am told it is to keep it from bouncing in the crate.

Mine is LTX and it has floats up front which im not a fan of, and yes it is too stiff for my liking. But im getting custom axis for it so it will run on par with the xrs with them on. Sad that you have to put more money into shocks to have it handle like a stock doo.

Not sure on an LTX maybe somebody can answer that but the girlfriends XTX does handle that well. Try 65 pounds in front and soften up rear skid a bunch and try. This sled has much more weight on the skid than any other Yamaha, adjust accordingly.
