Let's talk primary clutch rollers

First ride of the season yesterday, got to do some long pulls on hero snow. RPM wasn't right and could only pull 125 on GPS. Pulled rollers out when I got home and they are starting to show signs of wear...

Just noticed one of my primary rollers is bad.
Maybe 4000 miles & these are the TP rollers. Tim from TP gave me a discount because i talked deer hunting while eating Oreo cookies.
I guess i'll change them every year as part of my WMP=Winder Maintenance Program.

THINGS A GUY SHOULD DO:
1. Change your rollers every year
2. Talk bowhunting with Tim at ThunderProducts
3. Dunk your Oreo cookies in WHOLE milk, not that 2% crap!

Grrr....not many miles, but at 270hp maybe that is as good as we can expect? Wonder if the TPs will last me much longer?

Dan

Who knows, getting pretty tired of this. Yes, it is a good engine, but there are far too many decisions on this sled that were made by the accounting department as opposed to the engineering department. The build quality is substandard, and as the years/miles start growing it’s just going to get worse.

The sidewinder is a YINO (Yamaha in name only). Might keep it for another season, but it’s days are numbered.
