The washer cupping I believe is by design. Metal always has memory. The washer bending keeps bolt from loosening. I flip them when reinstalling.
Thanks for taking the time for all the pics. They are awesome! Believe that's first I have seen of Winder oil tank guts. Wow!

No not by design.
The shorter mount is designed for the narrower cat wheel bearings to be flush as it should be. When used with the wider bearing wheels as my kit is, the washer gets crushed inward when torqued down. Not a big deal and wont hurt anything, and still holds race of bearing just fine.
Im going to flatten them out as they were when new, and use a spacer washer underneath it so it wont crush down again, not really needed but an easy thing to fix.

LOL, yeah lots of stuff inside too !Thanks for taking the time for all the pics. They are awesome! Believe that's first I have seen of Winder oil tank guts. Wow!
Still dont know why they dont make a solid tank and get rid of the leaking seals altogether....still working on the guys who make aftermarket tanks for the apex/nytro, hoping they will get a new tank out for our winders...I know everyone would likely buy one!
Dan
The small idlers washers do the same thing. No not by design.

DanNext up today.....
Chaincase and oil tank removal.....
Going back to stock 21 top gear, and also need to seal my poorly designed oil tank which leaks like just about all these sleds do. Also will do the fall oil change ect.
Rivnuts sure help alot with making the side lower panel easy to remove.
Dan
Crappy silicone seal....oil tank removed.
22 gear shown, plenty of threads left on adjuster. But my chain stretched a ton in less then 1000 miles since i installed the 22gear and tune. I had 4.5 turns of free play. It was set to 1 turn free play 1000 miles prior.
I did reinstall the stock 21 gear, and shocked to see only 5 threads or so left when adjusted properly. Hoping chain is done stretching or else I'll have to cut down the alum spacer some.
Thats it for today...waiting on parts now.
Dan
Why are you going back to the stock 21 gear?

Now those idler washers are definitely cupped by design .The small idlers washers do the same thing.

Don’t forget the lower center shockmount shaft while in there. RR is steel.
